Lunkie (875), Glen Iris, Australia May 10, 2008 Sweet malt hop aroma. Dark brown colour with fair head and alcing. Malt hop flavour with sweet chocolate. Smooth palate. bhensonb (2319), Woodland, California, USA May 6, 2008 500 ml. bottle. Rich chocolate and malt aromas. Sweet. Opaque brown/black color with a finely bubbled and impressive tan head. Near medium in body with coarse carbonation. Flavor starts with chocolate, merges into coffee, followed by toasted malt, and then back to something like mocha. Cacao is in every sip. The finish tapers off to something smoky scotch malt with a tad of sour. Finishes rather dry, with a little sweet chocolate, and bitter from toasted, burnt malt. Does turn a little watery with time. The Etruscan (243), Tuscany, Italy Apr 25, 2008 Beige-light brown creamy head. Black colour. Aroma is malty with coffee and roasty notes. Flavor is malty too with roasty, earthy and dark chocolate tones, ending in a long malty, smokey finish. Light bodied.
