(Cask at Market Porter, Borough, London 28 Apr 2007) Amber colour with firm off-white head. Fruity nose with dark fruit, dried apricot, orange peel and earthy hops. Fruity taste with a solid malt base, notes of orange marmalade, apricots and earthy hops in the finish. Brilliant balance throughout. Very nice bitter.

Cask conditioned gravity dispense Royal George Cottingham. A golden coloured beer with a whitish head. The aroma has nice orangey hop notes. A good clean citrus taste. Bittersweet and tasty.

Handpump at The Stag & Huntsman, Hambledon. Golden and slightly hazy. Eggy aroma with a certain whiff of standing water and a touch floral. Sweet, malty flavour with some floral hops and an odd sulphuric finish.

NIce flavor. Different than the one in Bottle. It is like sour and sweet at the same time. Creamy and not tiring. I am glad I found it, it was the only one that was missing for me from this Brewery. They do great!. I would love to visit the brewery.

And so my serch goes on to discover wither orkney beers are better bottled to cask. Aroma seems a little bland but orkney character hops. Taste is typically orkney with thier smokey malts having just a little say. Iv very suprised we got this in he week before xmas i was sure it was a summer beer.
