Pours a dark brown that is clear and shows some firm ruby tints to it when held to light. Nice crème head. Nose is nice levels of wood. Flavor is bitter but also has a unique earthy/woody tone to it. Lots of malts on there too. Feel has a good carbonation that gives a slight bite to it. Liquid is well bodied. A good drinker. Nice body, even and interesting flavor. Won’t go down as the greatest ever of the style, but still good enough to give a try.

Bottle. High fluffy but lasting off-white head. Clear dark red brown body. Complex aroma of cocoa coffee and some spices I annot quite figure out. Hops spices dominated flavor with low carbonation and a long dry bitter aftertaste.

From bottle : Pours a clear dark ruby color, with minimal head..a small white ring forms around the edges of the glass. Decent lacing. Nose is fruity, and malty. Small hints of hops present themselves, with notes of alcohol. Taste is sweet up front with some fruityness, then dives into blandness on the backside, it is smooth but watery on the end. Medium body, nothing special here.

Ruby/stained-cherry color. A mix of soft, not bitter, floral, a little fruit, a little caramel, and lots of biscuit dough. A little sweeter and a touch lighter than I would prefer, but a beer I’d happily drink again. 500ml bottle from Greenlife.

500ml bottle at Microbar, Clapham, 8th Jan 08, with tashi. Pours a deep ruby red with a superb aroma - floral, with hints of violet and cherry. Lovely fruity and floral taste with a balanced finish. Very smooth and pleasant mouthfeel. This is a great beer!

Dark brown with a loose head. The aroma is malty wit notes of peat. The mouthfeel is full. the flavour has light sweetness in a lime/honey kind of way and it has notes of hay, flower, fresh moss, roasted malt, a touch of licorice and a lot of other notes. It’s very different from other beers and has next to no bitterness. I was nice with spicy foods too, there the lime, honey and malt was the dominant ones and the finish almost a bit stout like.

Bottle, bought @ Skjold Burne, Lilletorv, Aarhus. Pours a deep copper with a medium frothy off white head - leaves super lacing. Aroma is sweet with a powerful dose of caramel and lots of flowers. A little thin mouthfeel. Flavour is quite sweet with with a heavy dose of spicy hops - lightly flowery in the aftertaste.
