Bottle. Clear light ruby colour with a creamy off-white head. Aroma is slightly sweet, some hops and some roasted malts. Flavour is very much more of the same, perhaps some slight grassiness there too. Smoke in the palate, which stays for a while, only a hint of bitterness at the end. Alright.

Bottle. Clear copper colour with a medium off-whitish head. Aroma of some roasted malts, bit caramel and some hoppiness. Flavour is bitter and hoppy with caramel, bit sweet and malty, slight touch of smoke. Bit roasty bitter finish.

Poured from the bottle to an amber red with medium off-white head that stuck around through mid-glass and left good lacing. Aroma was roasted nuts, though not real dominant, and flavor was more of the same. Finish was dry and slightly sweet, although not real long. A decent beer, but not Orkney’s best., as I failed to find the "bitter" in this ESB.

A beautiful red beer, with a creamy and quite persisitent light brown head, that leaves many laces on the glass. The aroma is flowery and citric with very light roasted notes. The flavour is malty, lightly smokey, with some hops and a good level of bitterness. Soft mouthfeel, medium bodied and medium long hop afterataste. This is just my kind of "every day" beer. Very enjoyable.

Bottle - Poured a red brown color with thick tan head. Taste was definitely earthy and smokey and I really enjoyed that in a bitter. Becoming more fond of the style in general.

Pours a reddish amber with a small off white head. The aroma is lightly malty. The flavor is lighlty roasted with a bit of earthiness.
