I love the fact that the bottles are full pints (plus a little extra). Good balance between hops and malts, nice finish. bluevegie (2208), Perth, Australia
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 30, 2005 Dark red/cola body with an off-white head. Initial malt aroma then right into a hop nose. Pine hops predominantly in the taste along with a cloying caramel, a hint of peat smoke, medium body and not a bad beer but it is not my best. sneagrams3 (1757), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 11, 2005 500ml bottle. Rudy red hue. Tan cream head.At first sniff, lotta malt and hop, but balanced. Second sniff, berries and slightly sour with the malt backbone. Tan cream colored head. Light roast malt flavor. Ginger? Good hop flavor, slightly bitter and sour, then a smooth caramel malty finish. Little bit of apples when it hits the tongue Good floral, dry, yeastiness on the palate. Medium bodied. The more you drink, the more the bitter hops stay with you, less the malts. presario (2986), Calgary, Alberta, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 10, 2005 Dark brown with a lasting fluffy head. Light malty aroma. Light body. Reminds me more of a nice brown ale than an ESB. Some hops but more of a soft dominant malt. bu11zeye (5530), Frisco, Texas, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 30, 2005 Surprising hop aroma- American, reminds me of upstate NY regionals. Diacetyl. Good cap, good bottle, deep tea-colored beer, big bone-colored ead which lasted a long time then seemingly deflated into a foam membrane which lasted until the beer was drained. Acidic, tangy, tannic. A dry malty aftertaste with very light sweetness. Nutty. Finish is distinctly red. Lightly peaty, a little starchy, medium weight. Again, really reminds me of a NE US regional. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Sep 27, 2005 Floral and citrus-orange hops are strong in the aroma with plenty of biscuity and caramel underlying malts. Clear reddish-brown body with decent, off-white, large-bubbled head that recedes to a thick and lasting cover with some lacing. Fruity flavour with citrus and herbal hop notes finishes with fair roasty bitterness that seems chalky and charred. Medium body is very dry and well attenuated with strong, prickly carbonation. Tulip, just above fridge temp. Bottle (Bello Vino, Jul-05).

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 6, 2005 Smallish white fine-bubbled head over dark mahogany body. Lovely sweet, smoky flowery aroma with hop notes. Taste is very like the smell, but with slightly more pronounced smokiness. The finish is nicely rounded, but mostly a simple fading. A very good ale; strong, interesting taste, yet easily drinkable. (0.5l bottle, self-poured in lager glass.)
