The aroma was dominated by the smoke tones...some peat, sweet bread, and herbal hops in the background. The flavor was very smokey with a strong earthy peat character...some sweet bready tones, and a slight herbal hoppy bitterness in the aftertaste. Smooth, slightly thick feel and a semi-dry finish. cb (809), Wheat Ridge, Colorado, USA

Mainly a floral hobby taste to it, and just is watery... Dissapointed. blank (998), Washington, Washington DC, USA

Pleasant spicy aroma. Much improved. Original 2.3 Looks nice - rust colored pour with eggnog colored, creamy head. Aroma is a bit phenolic; has a bit of a glue like odor to it. Phenols carry over to the flavor as well. Has a bit of a caramel and toffee thing going on as well, but not enough to pull this one up. Has a slight band-aid taste to it. Mouthfeel is decent, very creamy. Methinks I got a bad bottle - will look for again to give another shot - others from Orkney have been decent. JensenTaster (1585), Denmark

Poured a large sized creamy off-white head that contained fine-medium sized bubbles that were mostly lasting. Fast-rising carbonation, transparent and a red-orange hue. Malty and hoppy aroma with a bitter, malty, smooth hoppy and watery flavor. Smooth and water/thin palate. This was a light bodied beer with sparse lacing.
