Rerate Tallahassee, Fl - Liquor Loft - 500 ml bottle - Phenols gone, good toffee and caramel flavor. Pleasant spicy aroma. Much improved. Original 2.3 Looks nice - rust colored pour with eggnog colored, creamy head. Aroma is a bit phenolic; has a bit of a glue like odor to it. Phenols carry over to the flavor as well. Has a bit of a caramel and toffee thing going on as well, but not enough to pull this one up. Has a slight band-aid taste to it. Mouthfeel is decent, very creamy. Methinks I got a bad bottle - will look for again to give another shot - others from Orkney have been decent.

(on bottle)Malts and some fresh fruits in this deep amberish brew. A bitter-fresh mouth. More bitterness and jsu a hint o smoke in the aftertaste. If one waits a bit, the mat and some apple comes out to. Weakest ale from a very excelent brewery

Bottle. Poured a large sized creamy off-white head that contained fine-medium sized bubbles that were mostly lasting. Fast-rising carbonation, transparent and a red-orange hue. Malty and hoppy aroma with a bitter, malty, smooth hoppy and watery flavor. Smooth and water/thin palate. This was a light bodied beer with sparse lacing.

Dark bronze appearance with a toasted malt and pronounced peat aroma. Caramel malt flavor with a dark fruit taste. Clean, sweet finish. More body than many ESB’s, though not as bitter.
