Commercial Description:
Available filtered in 330ml bottles.
"Named after Thorfin Hausakliuuf, the seventh earl of Orkney, this reddish coloured ale has an intense vinous nose, is rich and satiny in the mouth with a long dry finish and deep rich fruity notes. Described as ’Satiny smooth in the mouth, deceptively light and dangerously drinkable’."

Bottle. Amber pour with a decent sized light head. Aroma is boozy, sweet, malty and fruity. Flavor follows suit with some good caramel, fruit, honey, syrup and has a slight hop finish. Not bad at all.

Bottle. Pours a amber ruby color. Not much of a head, maybe a little white one. Not much carbonation. Medium body, but decent on the palate. Aroma is sweet malts and fruit. Flavor is dark fruit and plums. Good beer.

This does actually remind me of highland park. A really nice barley wine with a full body and some smoky notes. Starts out sweet and then arrives to a dry hoppy finnish. On the negative side doesn’t actually split my skull in any way.

330 ml bottle. Nice amber body with white head. Leaves nice lacing. Immediate nose was a little vegetative with sulfur notes and I thought it may be skunked. The smell disappated and left hints of cherries and a sweet smell. Mild carbonation. Definite notes of fruit, particularly grapes and cherries, along with some honey on the palate. Very sweet. Rich, sticky mouthfeel. Is this cherry coke syrup? Definite alcohol notes but it finishes pretty clean. The sweetness is just a bit too much for me.

Bottle. Pours a ruby brown color with a small beigh head. Rich and malty aroma with dark fruit, caramel and raisins. Flavor was sweet with dark rich caramel, dark fruit, toffee and a hint of raisins with a light bitterness and a sweet and dry finish.

Ruby color with little to no head. Fruits and caramel aroma with some spice in the flavor that I could not place. Very drinkable even with the higher alcohol content.

Poured with a small creamy light brown head and a dark ruby colour. A roasted toffee-caramel, dried fuits, promite/vegemite aroma/taste and light hop/clovy spiciness. Medium bodied and only lightly carbonated. A doppelbock like ale. Delicious.

Poured from bottle, Dark amber, clear, with off white head. Hints of over ripe fruit hit me at first, with tastes of alcohol soaked fruits....very warm in the mouth. Nice dry finish. Had the Viking on the label. Overall a good one.
