Commercial Description:
Available filtered in 330ml bottles.
"Named after Thorfin Hausakliuuf, the seventh earl of Orkney, this reddish coloured ale has an intense vinous nose, is rich and satiny in the mouth with a long dry finish and deep rich fruity notes. Described as ’Satiny smooth in the mouth, deceptively light and dangerously drinkable’."

Pours to a dark, hazy amber with a two finger off-white head. Nose is sweet. I have to go. This one is worth checking out...

330ml bottle into Trappist glass. Murky ruby brown ale with a transient biege head. The nose is mainly fruity caramel malts with a background alcoholic medicinal orangey hop tang. Flavour is similar with medium-full mouthfeel and light carbonation. Nice warm spicy hop bitterness to the finish. Definitely one to sip and savour.

Bottle. Pours reddish brown with a thin white head. Aroma is malty with hints of citrus and fig. Flavor is sour yet sweet, plum with malt and alcohol, finishes very tart. Sticky thin mouthfeel, very little carbonation. Decent, would try agian.

A beautiful copper colored brew with more head than most Barley Wines. This tastes like a mouthful of fresh baked buttery biscuits. It has a very thick flavor that does not last as long as I would have liked, hence the lower palate. I could not imagine "eating" more than one though, so if you buy the four pack, get ready to store three. Probably would go well with breakfast.

Pours a golden orange, with white head. Lots of caramel flavor, with dried fruit, and spice. Some hops in the finish. Smooth medium mouthfeel. It’s alright, a little mediocre.

Country side smell, a bit barnyard, full hops and malt. Light earthy. Light tan head brown-red colour and hazy liquid. Medium-heavy sweet, medium bitter, having the certain "something". Full body, soft carbonation slick-thick/full texture with a finish... still waiting for it to end. Screams for more the name is programme, very delicious.

pours dark reddish brown with a small head. fruity notes, but not overwhelming. definitely satiny smooth feeling on the tongue... quite nice. taste is well balanced... fruity, caramel malt flavors with just enough hops to counteract. very nice finish.

A clear dark red/brown colored beer, with a big thick beige head. The aroma of caramel with fruits and some sweet. The taste of caramel, some bitter, some sweets, spices, hints of alcohol, fruits like raisin. The aftertaste is bittersweet with fruits. It gives a warm feeling.
