| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 3, 2007 Very nice surprise...a big, flavorful barley wine, with a nice managable ABV that doesn’t lay you low, or make you forget where you parked the car. Big sweet malt base...caramel and dried fruits, coupled with a deep, rich smoky, peaty, roasty note that anchors the whole drink nicely. I really enjoyed this brew greatly! | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 1, 2007 Pours a dark red color with a 2 finger off white head. Fruity aroma. Flavors are sweet with a hint of smokiness. As it warms the fruits are more apparent. Well balanced. A very unique but very tasty ale. TheBeerBaron (219), Florida, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 17, 2007 Bottle. Dark brown and a creamy head. Malty aroma with hints of caramel. Sweet taste with good malt flavor, no bitter bite. A hearty ale and not too heavy like other brandy wines. If its heavy gravity 8.5% I cant taste it. Well done. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 17, 2007 Sweet but smoky flavor. Nice smooth body, and the strength of the alcohol doesn’t affect the flavor. A very good beer. Mrthirstyneck (341), Minnesota, USA
