Commercial Description:
A classic dry porter with coffee, toffee and roasty notes in both the aroma and flavor. Black in color with a refreshingly dry finish. Reminiscent of the porters of old before the days of stouts.

POurs a dark brown. Nose is roasted malt, some toasted grain, mild mild sweetness, subtle hints of coffee, cocoa and smoke. Flavor is fairly watered down roasted malt, mild hop bitterness. Thin.

Bottle courtesy of Ibrew2or3. Pours a dark cola brown to black with white head. Aroma is light roast, bittersweet chocolate, coffee, light brown sugar and molasses. Flavor is sweet and malty with notes of roast, chocolate, nutmeg, brown sugar, some hints of toffee. Medium body with a malty chocolate finish. Probably the best beer I have sampled from OBC.

12 oz bottle thanks to ibrew2or3. Pours a murky brown color with only a small bubble of head. The aroma is nice; smoke, roasted malts and chocolate. The flavor is similar; chalky, sweet chocolates, roasted malts, light bitter chocolate, milky. Decent, but lacking a good body.

A lite porter. Lite to medium bodied. Dark in color. Nice aromas. The label is awesome. Tried this at the tap room as part of a sample packet.

Tap FBGF. Pours black with off white head. Aroma of roasted coffee malts. Taste of roasted malts, possibly some faint notes of smoke and chocolate. Light hops with a nice sublte bitter finish. Some dark fruits can also be felt in the mix. Overall the beer is light, and drinkable.

Fairly dark brown. No head. The aroma is chocolatey with a toasty accent. Soft body. Light chocolate with a fudgey accent. Finishes off-dry.

Sample @ brewery taproom. Opaque black-brown. Great smokey aroma is super toasty and very rich. Low carbonation. A little burnt in the flavors but that adds some dryness. A nice sessionable tipple.
