Aroma of roasted coffee malts.
Taste of roasted malts, possibly some faint notes of smoke and chocolate. Light hops with a nice sublte bitter finish. Some dark fruits can also be felt in the mix. Overall the beer is light, and drinkable. Oakes (8092), gone rambling, Vietnam

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 15, 2009 Sample @ brewery taproom. Opaque black-brown. Great smokey aroma is super toasty and very rich. Low carbonation. A little burnt in the flavors but that adds some dryness. A nice sessionable tipple.
