Just like the mild ale it has this sort of spiciness to it and great maltiness with some slight hops, doesn’t sound like much but it just taste damn good. DragonStout (1380), Pataskala, Ohio, USA

You can definetly taste the hops and barley. It doesn’t finish to bitter with all the hops. jkaiser (220), Orlando, Florida, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 5, 2009 Pours a clear dark golden yellow color with a .5 finger white foam head that quickly fades into a cap and ring that leaves minimal spots of lacing.
Earthy pilsner malt aroma with subtle hops as well as some grass and straw notes. Maybe some light fruit.
Very well balanced with a healthy dose of crisp floral hops up front that is countered by a smooth clean pilsner malt backbone. As in the aroma, there is a faint crisp light fruit note, maybe apple and pear. Dry bitter hop finish. Medium bodied and not watered down at all. Very refreshing and quaffable session beer.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 26, 2008 a nice blond ale that is clean and flavorful. a bit sweet and wheaty it has a nice carbonation and is quite refreshing. unassuming and mild yet a bit yeasty and satisfying. just a bit velvety for some character it holds up well in the glass. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 17, 2009 Golden colour with a nice lace. Smooth, light and bready with a light bitterness. Slight herbal hop in the finish. 4-6-6-3-13 = 3.2.
Unfiltered version I found this to be both creamier and huskier in the body, with more fruity esters. Definitely less refined than the filtered but more characterful. 4-6-6-3-13 = 3.2 TomDecapolis (3197), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA
