unclemattie (2370), Georgia, USA May 5, 2009 Tap @ Orlando Brewing. Golden color, thin head. Light aroma of malt. Sharp hop flavor. Clean malt. Sharp bitter finish. Nice citrus hop. Light bodied. 30nov08. sebletitje (1880), Tampa, Florida, USA Apr 27, 2009 Tap @ brewery
pours light copper, white head.
Aroma of floral hops.
Taste, reminded me of a fresh green tea leaves, some hops and fruits and thin malty presence.
Mouthfeel keeps an interesting herbal, citrus/floral profile. Sweet and actually a fine taste pilsener.
Really enjoyed that one, stayed away from the nasty metalic taste of many pilsener. Oakes (8057), gone rambling, Vietnam Feb 17, 2009 Gold colour and rather flat-looking. Why? Way too much diacetyl. You can smell it a mile away. There’s nothing else. On the palate, a little bit of herbal hop shows through and it actually finishes with some dryness but it’s still pretty buttery. Ugh. Beershine (2677), Hue, Vietnam Feb 15, 2009 Sample at brewery taproom. Warm golden, hardly any head in the taster glass. Fruity aroma. Hops not detectable but diacetyl is, unfortunately. Flavors are nice, a good crisp herbal hop finish lingers on the back of the tongue like fresh greens or herbs leave. Nicely hopped but needs an aroma boost. kramer (2406), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 26, 2009 12 oz bottle, gifted by redlight, thanks man! Pours a clear gold body with a small wispy off-white head that fell to a thin film. The nose is slightly buttery with just a light hoppiness and a bit of bready malt. The flavor reveals just too much diacetyl to be enjoyable. The very light bitterness level adds to the lack of crispness as well. It’s just thin and flabby with a bit of grassy hops. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with fizzy soft carbonation. Overall, not especially pleasant to drink, thankfully I shared this bottle. nick76 (2634), Tampa, Florida, USA Dec 6, 2008 The appearance is pale gold with an average head. The aroma is has a big hop element and is somewhat malty. The taste is like the aroma with the hops hitting you first then the sweet malt yet the finish is dry. The palate is better than most for the style being smooth and full. I was really impressed with this one. I really liked it because it is actually what I want out of the style more than it is an exact replication of the ideal for for this style. Its more robust than most and it has a strong hop character.
Palidor19 (1750), Brandon, Florida, USA Dec 3, 2008 this tastes like a straight up European pils with a touch of hay and sharp malts. quite balanced on the hops Ibrew2or3 (2714), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Oct 23, 2008 OTH tasting 09/06/08 courtesy of the slimbeerdrinker, thanks Bethany. Pours clear gold with zero head. The aroma is sweet malts, pilsner like malts, mild floral hops and grainish malts. The taste is grainy and carries floral hops and spicy hop bitterness to go along with sweet malts. Very tasty pilz. Yum! I love the way the different malty notes blend and mix with a mild background of hops adding balance. This is one of the better brews I’ve had to date from Orlando Brewing.
