Ibrew2or3 (2714), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA May 16, 2009 Oktoberfest 2008 on tap at the brewpub. Pours clear copper with gold edges and tan head to go along with spotty lacing. The aroma is fruity with cherries, prunes and mashed up dates sprinkled with a faint dusting of dirt and yeasty spice. The taste has a modest bite of spicy to earthy hops to start and seems to run into mild pine and resiny hops too. By midway a mild level of fruity esters surface and more hops to move this to the finish. Interesting. hopscotch (5437), Vero Beach, Florida, USA May 16, 2009 Draft... Clear, light amber lager with a large, frothy, white head. Cool, blotchy lacework left behind. The aroma is delicate and tough to figure, but as the beer warms, it turns out to be a malty blend of medium-roast grains and caramel. Medium-bodied with gentle carbonation. The flavor is sweet and caramelly, but more balanced than their Maibock. Toasty. Moderate bitterness. Finishes sweet, then mildly metallic and lightly bitter. unclemattie (2370), Georgia, USA May 5, 2009 Tap @ Orlando Brewing. deep amber, white rocky head. Malty wort aroma. Very nice lacing! Deep caramel. Nice spicy hop bitterness. Finishes with a crisp hop. 30nov08. sebletitje (1880), Tampa, Florida, USA Apr 27, 2009 Tap @ brewery
pours copper, white head.
Aroma interesting hop aroma and some citrus fruits.
Taste, light caramel malts, some fruits and hops t complement the mouthfeel.
Not impressed by it. Still the yeast strain is present adding for a faint touch of bread / cookie like palate. mnurda (434), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Mar 3, 2009 Part of sample tray at the brewery. Was more impressed with the place than the beer. This was better than expected. Hoppier than I expected. Oakes (8057), gone rambling, Vietnam Feb 17, 2009 Golden-amber with nice lace. Nice breadcrusty aroma is rich with whole grains. Good body. Fresh breadcrust character, nicely balanced with a very dry finish for the style. Beershine (2677), Hue, Vietnam Feb 15, 2009 Sample @ brewery taproom. Dark gold/light copper with lots of lacing. Aroma has bread and fruit, and smells authentic/true to style. Sweet malty body is nice but not spectacular. Very dry finish is nice. A lighter version of the style. UcfLumberjack (3), Orlando, Alabama, USA does not count Feb 13, 2009 Incredible. Everything is spot on. Rich bready, toasty malty goodness. Not overly sweet like many of them are. Restrained hops, restrained bitterness. Awesome.
