Commercial Description:
An superb ale with a delicately balanced hop aroma. The caramel malt and butter scotch (diacetyl) aroma is enticingly moderate. Rich and inviting malt aromas are unmistakable.

Sample @ brewery taproom. Clear bright copper with some scattered lacing. Nice and fruity, floral English hop aroma with lots of grain character too. Balanced.Balanced solid malt backbone with subtle overlay of hops and a moreish finish. Awesome session beer.

This is by far their best beer. A little hoppy, a little malty, and still with a good bit of flavor. Nice bitterness in the finish.

12oz bottle from GodOfThunder pours medium copper color and a bit of buttered biscuits. Light herbal hop bitterness with a smooth body that was a bit tart. Easy drinker. Nice surprise from these guys.

Bottle from GodOfThunder. Thanks, dude! Pours a nice amber with a healthy head of off-white. Aroma is a blend of steak spices and bread dough. Flavor is a bit more on par with an English ale, full of rosy grapefruit but with a hint of mint in the finish. Average mouthfeel. A curious blend of aromas and flavors, to be sure.

Bottle. Pours a clear copper with a fluffy white head. Light pine and citrus hop aroma. Good balanced pale. Strong sharp bitterness with nice malt backbone. Dry finish with a touch of citrus.

GABF 2008. Light amber brown. I’m no hop professor, but I’m not detecting the usual earthy/dried-leaves Fuggleness I’d expect. The hops are here in good balance with the caramel malt, but there is a spicy herbal quality to them that is intriguing. My only criticism is that the beer is quite thin, almost watery.

Draft. Deep copper color, hint of a creamy head but it was poured without one. Fresh nose of caramel, baked bread and orange citrus hops. Hops also seem somewhat herbal, like mint and lime rind. First set is met with a hearty WTF? Weird herbal funk, coupled with an even weirder fruitiness, touches of raspberry. Some hop in the finish but its slight. Beer seems like a train wreck with alot of clashing flavors. Hops clarify a little the further I get into it, but its still weird.

Had on tap at brewery. Dark amber color. The sweet malty flavor up front was completely dominated to me by the spicy hops on the finish. Not a huge fan of EPA’s.
