Aroma was faint of spicy hops and stronger of caramel and sweet malts. Flavor was malty and slightly sweet, with a hint of hop bitterness and the sticky butterscotch sweetness that the diacetyl brings to the beer. Could use some more hops, but not a bad beer... thill25 (218), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 18, 2008 On tap @ OB...Poured a deep brown w/ red highlights. This beer smelled great...floral hops, malts, grains, toffee, caramel, but unfortunately the flavor was lacking. Picked up on some metallics early on then it slipped into some watery caramel, toffee notes, and a slight soapy aftertaste. The palate was weak and watery. With a few tweaks I think this beer could be great, but I liked their Dopplebock much better. Ibrew2or3 (2766), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 12, 2008 Pours clear deep copper with lasting ring of an off white head. There is a lot of 90L crystal malts along with a little biscuit, toffee, bread and a hint of vague hoppiness. The nose is on the light side overall. The flavor is bold malts with 90L crystal malts, other roasted malts and some malt astringency. I also get pine hop bitterness followed up by biscuit, toffee and mild bread that all hit about midway and ride into the finish. Enjoyable roasty brew. Tmoney99 (4792), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 16, 2008 Draft sample at the brewpub. Poured clear brown color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate caramel malty aroma. Medium body. Medium bittersweet flavor with an average smooth bittersweet finish of moderate duration. TomDecapolis (3213), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 14, 2008 On tap at the brewery. Pours a translucent golden amber with a smaller cream/lacing off white head. Aroma of caramel, some sweet malts, fresh hops, toffee and butterscotch. Flavor was a mix of the same, nice and dry, hoppy and flavorful. Beerlando (2353), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 10, 2008 Draft at Scruffy Murphy’s in Orlando, FL. Pours a clear, dark caramel color with a minimal, wispy film for a head. Trace amounts of snake like lacing are scattered about the glass. The aroma is of toasted caramel malts, toasted grains, and a surprisingly potent floral hop bouquet. The flavor is again caramel based, very toasty, and sharp. The floral hops provide a nice counterpoint to the lightly sweet malts. A smooth, clean mouthfeel transitions into a brief, dry finish. This one was a pleasant surprise, especially for a style I don’t normally care for. Definitely one of the best that Orlando Brewing has to offer. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 11, 2007 Sampled at the taproom. Caramel brown pour with some red highlights. Decent sized light tan head. medium retention. Some lace. Nose of caramel malts, diacetyl, light floral hops, toffee and malts. Smells pretty good. A bit more concentration would have been nice. Flavor is toffee, caramel, hops and malts, still not concentrated enough. Medium bodied, sticky sweet palate. Finish is lengthy and sweet. Not a bad beer, but a few tweaks from being a really good beer.
