Sweet palate with a good dose of diacetyl, caramel. Slight dryness in the finish but I couldn’t get this away from me fast enough. I hate butterbeer. jcwattsrugger (5528), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 27, 2009 On tap at the Florida Brewers Guild BeerFest 2009. This was not listed as their Right On Red and smell and tastes different too. Pours clear garnet with off white head. The aroma is hoppy with what smells like pine, maybe spicy hops . . . not sure, the hops are there but seem a bit vague. The hops are followed quickly by some solid roastiness. The taste is much the same with an initial hop pulse to go along with an adequate amount of roasty malts and some malt sweetness in the background. I get no sense of the organic wet cardboard off notes I usually taste and smell with these organic brews. All of the ingredients seem pretty fresh. Tasty beer. Earlier Rating: 3/12/2008 Total Score: 3 Pours kind of deep copper leaning toward amber hues with moderate, somewhat lasting, off white head. The aroma is sweet, malty and mildly roasty. Overall a mild meek aroma. The taste is roasted 90L to 120L crystal malts and sort of gets watery about midway. Starts to taste and feel like unfermented lightly roasted wort. There is some vague hoppiness too working with the malts. Not too bad really considering the style.
