Brown body, good head. Aromatic hops immediately evident in the nose, but at the first sip a robust malt texture is revealed, which gives it a round and balanced taste; still, I would have appreciated a bolder bitter. Slightly metallic? Some alcohol is noticeable. Body is medium, finish is moderately bitter. Nice label graphic, even if I fail to grasp the connection. :)

Draught at BQ, Milan. Cloudy dark amber, small but firm head. Grapefruit and caramel are prominent up fron. Solidly malty with rounded mouthfeel. Grapefruit covers the caramel. Marked bitterness. Quite American in style.

Bottled 50cl. Courtesy of Daniele. Bought at Il Birratrovo in Como. It pours a hazy amber beer. Fruity hoppy nose with pineapple, quinces, apricot, elderflower and arabic gum showing up. Nicely balanced. Very good taste. Decent bitterness. Nicely peppery. Dry fruity finish with liquorice allsorts appearing. A nice surprise. Thanks a lot Daniele!

Part of 3 sampler for 4 euro, 10 cl poured into a white wine glass at Birra Artigianale di Qualita in Milan. Smells like sweeter/citrusy sourdough bread and overtones of peaches. Cloudy light ruby color. Very light coffee aftertaste -- overall a delicate light beer.

On tap at Salone del Gusto 2008. Cloudy copper with a creamy off-white head. Citrussy hop nose. Caramel and citrus flavours in nice harmony. Bitter. Full-bodied. Great.

Bottle. [thanks to the Italian guys]
Pours hazy amber with a giant, creamy, yellowish head. Some floaties in the liquid. Aroma has hops, light citric, some pine, some caramel and bready malts. Medium carbonation, fine creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is lightly fruity tart - not in a bad way, good, dry English hops. Very long, dry finish. Nice.

Red-dark amber color; creamy head. Very nice creamy aroma. Good caramel and toffee flavor, malt, some sweetness, with very good American hops, bitter but balanced, aromatic, a bit fruity and resiny. Excellent.

I had the feeling for it at the exact moment I was removing the cap: gusher. It pours a muddy amber-brown color; some of the huge head persists. It has a quite strong aroma of English hops, a quite strong body, sweetish mouthfeel, caramel flavor and quite powerful bitterness, but of course a bit spoiled by a too evident yeast feeling. If the fermentation can be controlled, it would be good. To try again.

Good head, off-white, persistent over hazy dark amber. Nice hoppy nose, bit of chalk, cookie malts or well-done cookies. Bitterish tang, nearly metallic. Good body, but the balance leans too much to the slightly crude hops. All in all, a very acceptable beer.

Artebirra Pasturana 2008: Lucia mi ha preso in giro perché mi sono beccato il "fondazzo"... è vero però se mi è piaciuto pure quello, figuriamoci com’è il resto.
