Commercial Description:
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume. Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can? Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can't, where flavorless canned beers don't belong. And no matter where you drink Dale's Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

im not really a big fan of pale ales because they always make me want something more intense. this one surprised me in that i really enjoyed it. lots of hops yet it is pretty smooth.

Wonderful aroma of caramel and toffee. Taste is also nice, kind of like the aroma, but a bit metallic from the hops. The sweetness from malts are massive. There is virtually no aftertaste though, which affects the otherwise high grade.

Had kind of forgotten about this one, given its ubiquitosness on local shelves. Thanks to mctous for the reminder. Pretty red-orange in the glass. Smells intiially caramelly/malty, but hops lingering in the background. Nice, balanced flavor between the sweet malt and a generous dose of citric hoppy bitterness. Good job on this one...

Fine malty aroma with a touch of cheese. Decent head and sheet lace. Dales is sweet and malty for a pale ale, with dashes of cherry and orange esters, and it closes with a hop tingle. Very good, and the best brew I have had from a can.

Pours a nice copper color, nice blend of pine hops, and citrus. Great in the can, better on draft

Possibly the most overrated ’indie’ beer, though that title probably still belongs to Sierra Nevada’s IPA. Unbalanced hops married with the skunkiness from a metal can.. not for me.

Really? A can? This is my new favorite beer for the summer since I can take it to the neighborhood pool and it isn’t Miller, Coors or Bud... nice. Pours a copper/amber color and has the nice citrus, hops and pine flavor you would expect from a solid pale ale. Solid this pale ale is... tastey hoppy, grapefruit, malty and piney ale... and no tinny taste. Perfect for the summer.
