Commercial Description:
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume. Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can? Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can't, where flavorless canned beers don't belong. And no matter where you drink Dale's Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

What a great Pale Ale. Seems so strange out of a can. Full citrus aroma followed bu a burst of grapefruit and pine flavor. A hint of sweet followed by dry. As good as many better IPA’s.

Thanks lb4lb for this. Pours a pale orange with off-white head. Aroma of citrus hops well balanced with malt. Flavor is surprisingly smooth and complex. Quite a nice surprise out of this one, definitely a beer I want a bit more of.

Can. Nice clear, copper color. Barely any carbonation. White head thins quckly. Good hop nose, citrus and a hint of pine mixed with honey. I was looking forward to all of those aromas hitting my palate, but the flavor profile doesn’t measure up quite as well. Taste was flat and unexciting. There is a strong malt beginning but the flavor was bland. Medium high hop bitterness lingers on the palate and warmth from alcohol is definitely present. The flavors do seem to blend a little better as the beer warms a little.

Can thanks to bitbucket! Cracked the can open, poured into glass. Aroma was of light hops, with the sweet hop and maybe a little fruity smell. The flavor was just the right blend of hops for a APA. Could have been better, but nothing to hate.

(can at Summit Brewfest in Colorado Springs). Pours a cloudy amber color. Medium off white head. Average hop aroma with light malt. Hop flavor with moderate bitterness. Oily texture. Good lacing.

First sipping out of the cold can, it was delicious in a pleasant hoppy but not overpowering sense. The smell is almost sweet, like grapefruit. The color is rich for a pale ale, more amber than golden. As the temperature went up, the real delicious flavors of the beer came out. This beer is excellent!

Can. Orange/amber pour with thin white head. Nice lacing. Aroma is dominated by pine resin and sweet malt. Taste is bitter up front with more pine and some citrus flavors. Nice maltiness as well, but the hops dominate. Medium mouthfeel with bitter finish. Very good beer.
