Commercial Description:
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume. Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can? Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can't, where flavorless canned beers don't belong. And no matter where you drink Dale's Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

What a wonderful pale ale. Nice amber color, wonderful head. Flowery hop aroma with some pine, caramel and fruit. Flavor is wonderful. Some smooth floral hops mixed with a just slightly more than subtle bitter, then you notice a nice malt caramel sweetness that carries into a smooth finish that feels all around balanced. A fantastic pale ale. Plenty of hop kick. Smooth palate, not over the top but very nice bitter - wonderful malt to back it up. Terrific.

Superb flavor profile, excellent hop aromas and flavor, nice alcohol level and plenty of malty backbone make for a very well balanced and tasty pale ale. The extra bit of alcohol kick and malt sweetness push this one above the classic standard of Sierra Nevada. Also the Northern Brewer bittering addition adds to the drinkability of this pale ale, it definitely features a smooth bitterness and a light golden caramel sweetness. Crack open a can and pour it into a glass, smash the can on your forehead and enjoy the rest.

pours a nice warm amber with full white head that lingers. aroma is big hops. floral and pine with some bitter citrus and just a bit of metal. flavor is really nice and bitter hop right off the bat with a solid caramel sweet malt and then a big bite of bitter citrus hops. finishes bitter with a nice floral hop lasting a while. very good brew. metal was only on the nose, maybe my imagination.

12oz can from (ben) beer advocate guy in a fantasy baseball league I won! Pours a nice golden amber. Thin, bubbly, white head. Aroma of floral hops with a touch of honey. Bittering hopfeel gives way to a bready malt. Ultimately the bitterness lingers for quite some time, though. Pretty good beer.

Draught at Pizzeria Paradiso in Dupont Circle. Clear amber with a medium white head and nice lacing. Aroma of black pepper and lemon. Flavor is a very nice balance between the subtle hoppy bitterness and the malt. Nicely done.

Poured a medium golden orange. Darker than a normal pale ale. Nose is huge on pine and citrus hops. Loads of ’em. Taste is packed with hops, grapefruit, orange zest, tangerine, pine resin, toffee, nice clean bitterness. I dont see how this beer is classified as a regular pale ale, but its great regardless of style.
