dirt55 (150), Washington, USA Mar 29, 2009 canned, pours a thick light amber with no head at all, aroma of light malt with more hop presence then anticipated, flavor same as aroma, sweet malt up front, heavy on palate, with residual hop bitters, I would imagine that this would be good on a hot summer’s day strait from the can. italianjohn (337), Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 29, 2009 Updated: May 26, 2009Draft pour at Capones near Norristown nice hop balance and aroma a medium brew not overbearing nice amount of head with a dry hoppy finish .... poured a copper color this was an awesome beer with just the right taste would do again and again FlssmrBrewAlum (1053), Lisle, Illinois, USA Mar 29, 2009 12 oz can courtesy of the Three Cellars singles selection (Franklin, WI). Pours a well hazed orangish amber with decent whitish head that laces and sticks around to most extent. Aromas are a very nice florally hop presence. Grass, lemon, light grapefruit, and light pale malts make up the nose with decent power and a tasty appeal. Initial is light bodied, sessionable in body and taste, pale malts mix with a nice lemony and grapefruity hoppiness, balancing the sweetness and leaving a pleasant bitterness on the palate. Certainly not the strongest pale ale, but a good sessioner and great beer on the go with can appeal. Finish is bitter, lending some sharp hop and bitterness at times. Picks up a point for being able to pick out some resinous piney feel. Sessionable yes and a good APA, but not the best by some ways. Beardface (977), Eugene, Oregon, USA Mar 26, 2009 Can picked up at Market of Choice. Pours a clear amber with a huge white head that fades soon. Floral and pine aroma, kind of cloyingly sweet. Too much soap in the flavor spoils it for me. Will try again at some point since it’s so highly rated. Trev (850), Lakeville, Minnesota, USA Mar 24, 2009 on cask at Ginger Man NYC
Pours an amber gold with a thick head. Caramel and citrus with lighter pine tones.
Flavour was assertive pine and grapefruit over toasty caramel malt.
smooth and rich.
rmussman (905), California, USA Mar 21, 2009 A really nice brew. In a can, which was a surprise but a good brew. Very hoppy and a good amount of hops. Goes down smooth, has a crispness that is refreshing. coyotehunter (542), , Michigan, USA Mar 21, 2009 can courtesy MrBunn. Wonderful aromas of pin and floral hops. pours a coppery brown. Good notes of malt, hops and piney goodness. Lingering bitterness that lasts to the end. Coming out of a can, its pretty good. spikester (602), Salem, Oregon, USA Mar 20, 2009 Amazingly tasty Pale Ale from a can. If you like American Pale Ale beer give this a try as soon as possible. Pours amber with a good white head and plenty of white lacings. Hops rule this brew and a good amount of support from the malts. One of the best beers from a can ever! Mouthfeel is very good. Overall a fine Pale Ale. Super good canned Pale Ale. Great looking can art too.
