Commercial Description:
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume. Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can? Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can't, where flavorless canned beers don't belong. And no matter where you drink Dale's Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

Location: Picked up a 12 oz. can at Gilly’s, drank it 3/16/09

Aroma: Hops, pine, citrus
Appearance: Cloudy orange, thin head
Flavor: Hops and the citrus fronts, with a nice balance from the malt backing
Palate: Medium body, really nice finish/mouthfeel.
Overall Impression: Really nice American Pale, almost IPA like, with some strong hops and a nice mouthfeel. The kind of a beer you can truly enjoy. I like the idea of making high quality can beers, kudos!

Can at Järnet, Stockholm. Pours hazy dark amber. Smells of oranges and hops. This should be the benchmark apa for every brewer!

12 oz can. Pours a hazy gold color with a 1/2" white head. Nose is all piney/citrus hops. Palate is medium bodied. Flavor is hop forward with a malt backbone. A nice combination is the 2 flavors, although the hops do dominate. This is Gordan’s younger, weaker brother. Very nice!

Color is a golden amber. I’ve had this beer many times before and this is the first time I can say I’m picking up plenty of citrus notes (especially orange). Of course hops dominates this beer but not in a brutal sense. Leaves very little lace. Tasty beer, I bought a 12 pack for about $18 and change, so far it’s serving admirably (although it could afford to be a pinch less expensive)

Canned. Nice head for a canned beer that was with you through out. Hazy yellow amber body. Smells of faint hops and malt with an aluminum thing goin on. You can taste the hops more than you can smell them and wasn’t too overpowered by malt like so many pale ales. Very light on the palate and went down too easy. For a pale it is a good beer besides the aluminum smell and taste.

pretty decent ale bordering on IPA bitterness. a little toasted malt in the finish. good attenuation i think, the lack of sweetness and alcohol % but no harsh alcohol notes at all show that some care went into this beer.
