Commercial Description:
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume. Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can? Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can't, where flavorless canned beers don't belong. And no matter where you drink Dale's Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

pretty decent ale bordering on IPA bitterness. a little toasted malt in the finish. good attenuation i think, the lack of sweetness and alcohol % but no harsh alcohol notes at all show that some care went into this beer.

I was pleasantly surprised with this beer. It came from a can? First beer I have had in a can in... I can’t remember. A good tasting pale ale. Very nice scent with hops and citrus.

I picked up a six pack during a breif beer raid in Buffalo. Love the deep orange color! Flavor is better still, remarkable depth in both malt and hop profiles. Amazingly drinkable for what it is too. Sorry I’m getting a little excited here but A.P.A. choices are slim north of the border and this is the best I’ve had. Hmmmm.....the border’s only 2 hours from here.....be right back.....

Clouded orange. Hoppy aroma, yet pleasing. Taste is ridiculously smooth for the style. Hops add to the taste but do not destroy the finish. Jolly good! Wait this beer isn’t English. Uh....nice.

Enjoyed via 12oz can. Pours a light copper with medium to small white head. Nose is one of citrusy American hops, a wonderful change from some of the weaker examples of the style. The palate is a nice balance of malt sweetness and hop bitterness. In the end, the hops prevail, but not to a point that is out-of-style. Overall, a wonderfully creative and full-flavored American beer.

APPEARANCE: Pours a hazy orange-amber color with a large white head dissipates at relatively slowly. Large amount of sticky lacing. AROMA: Full aroma of malt, caramel and citrusy hops. FLAVOR: A lot more hops than your typical pale ale. Nice caramel malt backbone. I taste citrus and pine. Finishes with long mild grapefruit like hoppy bitterness. MOUTHFEEL: Medium body. Soft fizzy carbonation. DRINKABILITY: Flavorful and well balanced pale ale. I could drink a few of these in a night. Probably the best beer I have had in a can. NOTES: BBCSD-0902-ScottR

Can. Pours orangish brown with a decently thick white head. Excellent, long lasting lacing, line after each sip. Smells of beautiful pine/citrus hops. Flavor is an excellent mix of hops and a pleasantly astringent flavor, and almost a hint of soap.
