Commercial Description:
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume. Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can? Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can't, where flavorless canned beers don't belong. And no matter where you drink Dale's Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

I kinda dig this new good beer in a can trend. I would feel like I wasted my money, however, if i drank this out of a can, but I think for freshness you can’t beat this container. I think a good beer needs to have your nose all in it. This one i poured and i have to say i’m really impressed. More like a lot of the IPA’s I’ve had. With a 6.5 ABV on a standard pale, I’m a little curious about how I’m going to get my hands on their IPA!! I bought their Irish style ale too. Bout to rate that one next. This one, though, is delicious. Clean sweet malt and good hops through the whole deal. Great clean stuff. Really good.

On tap. Copper color. Clear-no head. Aroma of malts, hops, and caramel. Tastes of hints of caramel and hops. Nothing special, but no bad.

Crushed with Jakebra. Very nice, smooth pale. My 3rd Oskar Blues experience: all have been extremely positive. Smooth, fruity, dry, delicious pale ale.

12oz bottle from Rollin’ Oats (Tampa, FL). Pours a hazy amber color with a one finger white head that settles quickly with some glass lacing. Aroma is sweet and hoppy with notes of honey, grass, wheat, grain, citrus, grapefruit, fresh ripe fruit. Flavor is also sweet and hoppy with notes of floral hops, citrus, grapefruit, honey, caramel, some faint maltiness. Generally light to medium body with a floral and sweet finish.

(11/1/08) Draught at Father’s Office in Santa Monica. Slightly hazy amber color. Hoppy aroma with some flowers and some light toasty malt notes. Sweetish flavor with some malt and caramel. Continues bitter and hoppy with a bit of citrus and light spicy hops notes. Medium-bodied. Quite nice.

On tap at The Yard House. Pours a clear golden amber with a rich creamy off white head. Lacing and head retention is excellent. Aroma is citrusy hops and sweet bready malt. Flavor is again mostly hops, but with a very nice caramel malt backbone. Well balanced with a bitter finish. Medium bodied and super smooth.
