MegaMan2OO6 (21), Elmhurst, Illinois, USA Nov 26, 2008 (11.22.08) 12 oz. can: Bright orange pour with a ton of carbonation that settles down to a medium-sized, white head. Nose is loaded with citrusy hops, along with brown sugar and pine. Taste is very hoppy as well, balanced out by some caramel malt. Medium-full mouthfeel, which is saying something for an APA. Outstanding within style. SHANER4 (370), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Nov 20, 2008 12 oz. can Poured a rich copper color with medium head. Aroma is malty and hoppy. Taste is well balanced between the rich malt and subtle hop finish. Great Pale Ale, surprised it is not rated higher?? WickerBrew (312), Chicago, Illinois, USA Nov 20, 2008 I thought this was really great for a basic american pale. Probably a little less watery than most of its kind. The taste was smooth and hoppy and not too big to the point where i couldnt finish the sixpack. Brownie points for cans, if its really better doesnt matter I just like it. DuffMan (2719), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada Nov 18, 2008 On tap ESPN Zone Denver. Silky caramel malt, sweet, lots of tropical fruit with a medium bitter finish. slightly more malty, more fruity, and a little less bitter than the 5-Barrel I tried in the same sitting. elihapa (1033), Honolulu, California, USA Oct 30, 2008 Can. Pours bright orange with a medium-sized, white head. Aroma of flowery hops, and some lemon essence. Flavor features a fruity, sweeter flavor at first, before quickly giving way to a bold, citrusy, hoppy finish. This brew is smooth, well-blended, but a touch average. In my opinion, it borders too much with many west coast IPAs. chicagodri (1021), Chicago, Illinois, USA Oct 29, 2008 Thanks BOLTZ7555 for the brew. Pours a clear cooper from the can. Almost no head or carbonization. A little citrus hoppy aroma and some bitterness. A solid American Pale Ale. I have just been spoiled by fresh Alpha King. stchloe (473), Portland, Oregon, USA Oct 28, 2008 It comes from a can and tastes amazing. Hoppy but in a very clear and crisp way. A great portable beer. BeerBunker (604), Burbank, Illinois, USA Oct 27, 2008 Pours a hazy orange with a small white head. Not too heavy on the carbonation. Aroma is of hops, some citrus, and an earthy note I can’t quite put my finger on. Taste is bitter hops up front, with citrus and grass to follow. Hoppiness dies quickly, leaving a bland taste in the mouth. Tasty, but lacking something to really make it something to drink again..
