Commercial Description:
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume. Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can? Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can't, where flavorless canned beers don't belong. And no matter where you drink Dale's Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

Can: Pour is light amber golden with a nice white head. Aroma is lightly floral with medium fresh hops. This brew was only canned just over a week ago. Hops are Very dominant in the flavor along with very floral characters. Damn fresh and damn nice. Would definitely buy again.

This beer pours a coppery color with a white creamy head that dissipates rather quickly. The aroma is hoppy, but not hugely hoppy with some malty notes. The flavor follows up on this. This is a real nice pale ale with some excellent hop flavors and great malty background. The body is medium with medium carbonation. This is the best pale ale I’ve ever had from a can!!

12oz can from a liquor store in northern Mass. Pours a hazy amber-orange with a good half inch of off-white head. Smells strongly of grapefruit/citrus hops with hints of caramel malt. Tastes like citrussy hops first, with undertones of caramel and biscuit malt. On the heavy side of medium bodied with moderate carbonation - flirting with viscosity without hitting it or losing drinkability. An exquisite APA for sure - one I’ll be drinking as regularly as I am able to. Good stuff.

Have had both on tap and in can, pours amber with a nice head, nice hoppy aroma, crisp, dry taste with a decent malt backing, finishes bitter, the beer was a bit better on tap in my experience

Tap @ brewpub. Hazy orange color, short head. Hoppy aroma, slight piney. Quite bitter taste. Dry and bitter palate.

Can from Discount Liquor. Pour is a crystal clear reddish gold, thick fluffy head. Nose is distinctly C-hopped, though not as big of a hop nose as I’d expect. Definitely clean and no skunk thanks to the can. Very smooth with a refreshing bitterness. Wish I could get this as a regular in Illinois, especially for $8 a sixer. Nice.

(12oz can at Jo’s on September 30, 2008) What a surprise! I thought I’d taste more aluminum, but I really didn’t. And the beer itself: great, not too hoppy, not your every day pale. Very satisfying. Couldn’t judge the appearance properly, though, because I drank it straight out of the can. I really need to take some of these puppies along with me on the river next summer.

Very hoppy nose. Mostly a bitter hop flavor. Little to no head. Well balanced with mild sweetness. Caramel and some stray cat. Lasting bitter finish.
