Commercial Description:
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume. Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can? Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can't, where flavorless canned beers don't belong. And no matter where you drink Dale's Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

12 oz. can poured into shaker- poured transparent when held to light, medium carbonation, very thin white head that laced some. Aroma of floral, hops, and earth. HIts the mouth with a low-medium body, malt is very nice, hops are very nice, notes of pine and sweetness on the backend, finish has some acidity- which is very nice.

Fire-amber with a decent-sized, long-lasting white head. Nose is strong, sweet, and a little clean, with standards like caramel and grapefruit, but also with an earthy, "field"-like scent. Flavor has some great balance with citrus, caramel, bread, and a slight hint of pine/flowers. Somewhat bitter and full bodied, this is definitely a winner.

Better then almost any bottled pale ale by far. I was turned on too this after the ten fitty and falling in love with old chub. They d not make a bad beer and this is one of my top pale ales ever.

Pours an orange color with a thick off-white head. A notch of lacing after each sip. Aroma is somewhat subtle but nice with grapefruit and piney hops mixed with some maltiness. Grapefruit hoppy flavor, some lemon, sticky pine with caramel malts. Real nice thick malty base for a Pale Ale and it’s not lacking in the hop department either. This could be considered an IPA. Hmmm... I’m really starting to dig these Oskar Blues canned beers.

best damn beer in a can--well, it can be heavy if you want to quench without the fill, but the quality is superb... very aromatic and flavorful in hops; perfume, pine, citrus, and bitter ends without the bitter face.

12oz Can: Copper w/ a small biege head. Very nice aroma of sweet malts & piney hops. Flavor starts w/ sweet malts then a bitter citrus hop hit. Finishes bitter. Some crazy lacing left on the glass too...

355 mL can. Copper with a small beige head that recedes to a thick film. Mild, well-balanced aroma of caramel and C-hops. The taste is fantastic for a pale ale, even for an APA. The caramel sweetness of the malt is enhanced by some nuttiness and a touch of peach. More bitterness than some IPAs. The hops bring pine and citrus flavours to this beer. Medium body (full for an APA) and carbonation. Incredibly drinkable for a 6.5% beer.

What a surprise out of a can! Took this on a beach/camping trip and was not disappointed. Heavy hoppy hit up front, smooth but bitter finish.
