Commercial Description:
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume. Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can? Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can't, where flavorless canned beers don't belong. And no matter where you drink Dale's Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

Tap at Dive Bar. Poured a copper brown, with a thin head. This had a sweet hop nose. Med-thin mouthful that was very drinkable.A nice crisp beer with some decent hop flavor, not overpowering, but by no means lacking. Similar to the mother of most pale ales, sierra nevada, but with more flavor, and robustness.

The was the other can and again what a surprise. I am so used to beer in a can being awful I almost passed this up. But this poured a golden color with rich fat head and good lacing. Nose of caramel malts and citrus hops, Smooth and clean mouthfeel. Flavor is slightly bitter and the finish is long and dry. Good stuff.

Pours darker than I imagined, golden orange color. Little to no white head, even with cajoling. Aroma is caster sugar and faint peach, apricot. Taste is bitter, but not insanely so. Has an oily feel that softens the hop shock. Aftertaste has some harshness in the gums and cheeks. not blown away by this one, needs more malt. Singular in taste and nowhere near one of my favorite IPA’s. The flavor profiles is too flat. Purchased this 12 oz can at Whole Foods in Falls Church, VA.

12 oz can from Pizza Port bottle shop Carlsbad: Rich golden color with a small, fading off-white head. Aroma is sweet and hoppy with a hint of pine. Flavor starts caramel candy sweet followed by citrus and a fairly dry orange rind finish. Meium body is smooth with lively carbonation.

A good pale ale, especially from a can. I am a bottle drinker myself but if you put this one in a glass its a great tasting, smooth pale ale with good flavor.

citric hops on nose & palate, at mid palate it starts to break down a bit but rebounds with a nice clean & dry finish. by far the best bitter beer i had in a can. if you do a 1/2 & 1/2 with old chub you have the dales chubby old something

Pours amber with a thin, white head. Faint malt aromas quickly usurped by the hop bouquet. The hops are fragrant, but frankly I was expecting a bit more. The taste definitely does not disappoint; smooth malty sweetness perfectly balanced by the bittering hops. Hop flavor is evident as well. Medium body with a very smooth mouthfeel. Finishes clean.
