Commercial Description:
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume. Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can? Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can't, where flavorless canned beers don't belong. And no matter where you drink Dale's Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

Pours thin copper with smallish head, but its there. Can? wow. ok. Sticky caramel notes and thick raisiny aromas smash up front but are subdued by a citrus peel and piney scent which presents itself more forcefully in the flavor. Deep sugared malts punctuate themselves into a lingering but muted hop bitterness. wow. very tasty. I am super happy with this one.

Can courtesy of Matt7215, thanks man! Deep orange/amber pour with a two finger froth of eggshell foam. Good structured lace leaves line after line of rings. This pale shows fresh pine and citric hops in the nose, with bread crust and caramel, followed by cotton candy. The taste is great. It is quite hop forward, with sharp piney hops, with citrus rind, that leads into an earthy caramel malt., and finishes with a candy like sweetness that is only balanced with the northern brewer. This beer suffers from extreme balance, and is damn fine! Excellent craftsmanship. Thanks for the can and the opportunity to try this Matt!

Canned from BevMo. Dark amber/golden in color. Somewhat sweet and hoppy aroma. Hops and malts up front. A little bit of breadiness. Good solid APA. Nice balance with a good amount of bitterness.

Canned beer can get no better! Pours a nice copper color. A nice head dissipates to fine lace around the top of the beer. The hoppy taste is just right! A good session beer!

Pours a reddish orange color with a medium sized off white head. Nose is fruity, toasted malt, and floral hops. Taste is mild and of biscuits with a very bitter finish. Pretty good APA remindes me of Alpha Kappa. HOwever the nose and taste seems to fade as it is exposed to air which is odd.

Can picked up at Woodman’s in Madison. Pours a honey golden with a big foamy off-white head that sticks around. Nice lacing. Sweet, potent hops aroma with floral hints. Flavor is grassy, floral and pleasantly sweet that becomes strongly bitter and finishes dry. Full bodied, creamy with a nice lingering bitterness. Excellent!

Pretty good, best beer I have ever had out of a can. Nice balance of hops and some malt. Lingering bitter finish. Piney hop taste typical of APAs. Doesn’t really stand out though, and not the smoothest or most drinkable beer.
