Commercial Description:
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume. Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can? Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can't, where flavorless canned beers don't belong. And no matter where you drink Dale's Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

On tap at the Knitting Factory. Excellent pale ale. Probably the best pale I’ve had since the last time I had a Sierra Nevada. Pleasant hop bitterness. Good til the last drop, flavor-wise and head-wise. Very piney in the aroma and flavor.

On tap at 1702 in Tucson. Pours a cloudy dark amber with a nicely complementary head. Nose is floral and a little pine. Flavor is similar with excellent bitterness that lasts all the way to the end. A pleasant drink when it’s hot outside.

cloudy sun yellow. clean, perfect cap of foam. nose of resin and floral hops. flavor is bracing bitterness with a touch of sticky malt coming through. long finish, bitterness really stays with you. flowery alcohol bite snaps at times late in the taste.

Tin. Poured copper gold with medium white head. Full aroma of hops, fruit and caramel. Full malty flavour, with an edge of the tongue hop finish, Another beer Hennie might call a Cape Ale

this is sam adams on steroids. golden color, nice hop smell, appears to be a standard IPA. however, it has a stronger hop flavor to it than most. very drinkable. one of the best beers around.

12 oz cAn via Mys Swap 4 (thanks alexsdad!).Pours a hazy orange with a huge beige head. Nose is grapefruit/orange and is making me sneeze! Wow, this is one hoppy pale ale. Tastes like an IPA with LOTs of flavoring hops to me. I am sure i taste some yummy centennial and perhaps columbus hops. Crystal malts, a little honey, orange, grapefruit, pine and some wondrous spicy hoppy goodness. Body is medium, carbonation is spot on. Perhaps one of the best pale ales i have ever tasted...and reading the description, i see i got 2 of the 4 hops right....guess i really do love centennial and columbus lol..

A good pale ale, especially from a can. I am a bottle drinker myself but if you put this one in a glass its a great tasting, smooth pale ale with good flavor.
