Bhops (329), Dallas, Texas, USA May 1, 2008 Can courtesy of Mar. I really liked this beer. To me, this is what a hoppy american pale ale should taste like. Definitely an everyday drinker. Can, clear orange, almost apple juice color, very hoppy nose, citrusy and sweet. Flavor was malty, creamy. Perfect hop balance. Not overwhelmingly hoppy, very smooth to drink. blutt59 (2042), Dallas, Texas, USA May 1, 2008 can, white head with clear orange color , hoppy nose, good malt flavor that reminds me of a mexican restaurant praline, great smooth finish, excellent Tejas (693), Dallas, Texas, USA May 1, 2008 I had to pour this into a glass. Just couldn’t drink it from a can. Perfect appearance. Taste different than I expected or any other Pale I’ve tried.Sort of fruity but I can’t figure out which it is. Very good. BMan1113VR (2757), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA Apr 30, 2008 Pours with a nice and thick, off-white head covering a slightly chill hazed golden-brown body. Really good lacing and retention on the head. Aroma is fruity, with hops and some brown sugar. Taste is one-dimensionally bitter with a metallicy note. Mouthfeel is syrupy and a good level of carbonation. graham515 (420), Houston, Texas, USA Apr 29, 2008 Pours a nice copper color into the glass with small head. Aroma is big and hoppy. Really wonderful flavor with plenty of hop punch and nice malts. This beer has relatively low carbonation, but really benefits from it.
Would buy again! texasbartender (160), Sugarland, Texas, USA Apr 28, 2008 The beer pours a saddle leather amber with a thick white head that is mostly lasting with nice lacing. The nose is a bouquet of floral hops. The taste is IPA all the way. The front is a clean maltyness that is followed with a sharp bitterness that hits you in the back and sides of the mouth. The mouth feel is smooth and watery. The after taste is spicy hops. GAManiac (1123), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Apr 28, 2008 Poured a hazy amber color with a quickly dissipating off-white head leaving a little bit of lacing. Nose is dominated by citrus with a slight piney scent following. It tastes a bit like a hop-filled pine forest with a little bit of lemon zest thrown in. The hop flavor skews strongly to the bitter end of things, though in a good way. Sticky mouthfeel with a slight lingering bitterness. Though the bitterness can be a bit abrasive, I really enjoy this beer and always end up drinking more than I intend...I guess that makes it pretty drinkable! biz82 (1328), austin, Texas, USA Apr 27, 2008 Quite clear rosy amber with a small sticky white head. Nice looking ale. Floral citrus hop aroma with some butter. Very clean and well balanced in flavor with perfect bitterness. Excellent hop character, bright, complex and satisfying. My only complaint in the diacetyl notes which detract from an otherwise perfect beer.
