Commercial Description:
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume. Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can? Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can't, where flavorless canned beers don't belong. And no matter where you drink Dale's Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

pours a hazy copper color and the head has a pretty decent lacing. smell almost reminds me of a nut brown ale. the hops are prominent but not overpowering, leaving a nice hoppy aftertaste. a very well balanced APA

The aroma and appearance are clean but not distinctive. However the flavor shows off the brewer’s considerable skill. The multiple hops are at once earthy, astringent, and floral. The pale malts are full-bodied with sweet, peachy undertones, and provide a viscous texture. A slightly sweet finish with lingering hops on the front of the tongue.

Very good beer overall, especially from a can. 12 oz. can, no freshness date. Poured out a hazy copper color, with a thin, sticky tan head. Aromas are strictly "C" hops, with sweet malts. Flavors are sweet malts, "C" hops, slight esters. Thick mouthfeel and body. Finishes hoppy & thick on the tongue. Damn tasty canned beer. I’m impressed.

can poured into a lager glass has a lovely amber color, steady slow carbonation, and a big white fluffy head that retained rather well. this is my first try of high end beer that comes in a can and so far it is looking pretty promising. aroma has peachy fruit hops, pepper, caramel malt, plenty of floral, and citrus. pretty juicy on the nose. mouth feel is surprisingly substantial with some thickness. flavors are hop centered with sweet fruit and pepper, good dose of malt to thicken it up, and finishing with some bitterness from the hops with lingering fruit. first caned beer and first oskar blues, both get a big thumbs up here.

Pours hazy golden-pale-orange with a thin but frothy white head. Big hop aroma that is more English than American to my nose -- more earthy, floral and berrylike than citrus. Excellent malt character that stands up to some big bitterness. Definitely more citrusy in the finish than in the aroma. Yay for canned beer that I can take camping!!

Can. Clean and copper coloured with a nice creamy off-white head. Aromas of fruity hops and a nice crispy and bitter taste.

Without a doubt the best beer I’ve ever had in a can. Vibrant burnt orange liquid exudes a 1/2 inch meringue head. The aroma exhibits tall douglas fir and citrus notes. The flavor is dominated by aggressive hop bitterness that lasts long after the last sip. Bottling this one might be beneficial as I sensed tin when first tasted. After additional drinks, my taste buds were overwhelmed and that impression diminished. Very good beer...
