Smells very fruity/citrusy, not in the tropical sense like say a Pliny, but the hops definitely jump out at you. A hint of malt is there but you really have to search for it to pick it out.
Taste starts off sweet and then gets more hoppy as it goes down, but never so much that I would call it a bomb. Actually fairly complex for it’s style as the taste just keeps changing throughout the sip. I’ve gone from smooth to bitter to sweet and back again. Very nice.
Mouth is good, med body and the medium end of low carbonation. I prefer this to the thin body higher carb tendencies of pale ales, although that works great in some beers, I think they found a great combination here.
This is a great APA for a great price from a great brewery. Bonster (84), Jersey Shore, New Jersey, USA

Hoppy aroma with a touch of sweetness. Flavor was sweet and hoppy, balance was great, not too bitter. At first taste the sweetness dances around your tongue. The finish is wonderfully bitter. Delightful rings of lacing around the glass. Pulchritudinous! potbeercollege (311), Boulder, Colorado, USA

Things have changed. Pours with thick orange/tan head that disappears slowly. Orange/amber color. BIg bitter finish is more prominent in the keg. Fruity hops still dominate the body’s taste. The texture is a thicker oily taste that stays on the tongue.

Canned. Orange light amber hue. Very thin head. Very hoppy aroma with sweetness... A light heavy weight in aroma compared to his big brother Gordon. Flavor is also hoppy but not bitter hoppy, more fruity without huge bitterness. Long fairly bitter finish. Straightforward APA style. Beautifully balanced. Texture is light and slippery/oilly. A little to oily (my only complaint). jjuf1853 (471), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 21, 2009 One of the best beers offered in a can. Pours a reddish amber hue with a thick and foamy head. Excellent abundance of hops in the aroma and flavor. Love the bitterness in the finish. A very fine American Pale Ale. jetzler (622), oklahoma city, Oklahoma, USA
