Commercial Description:
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume. Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can? Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can't, where flavorless canned beers don't belong. And no matter where you drink Dale's Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

I’ve had this stuff numerous times while flying on Frontier and is the best Pale Ale I’ve had in a can so far. This stuff proves micros should be in cans. Lightly bitter and more caramel that hoppy. Just wish I had a glass to drink this from instead of a plastic cup.

On tap at Coles, Buffalo, NY. Pours a clear sparkling amber-orange with an average size lasting off-white head. Nice lacing. Mild pleasant hoppy aroma. Flavour’s mostly citrus hops, some caramel malt a touch of spices and that’s pretty much it -- it’s simple but it tastes great! Has a nice long bitter finish. Goes down smooth, you’d never know this is 6.5%, in fact I’m surprised to see that it is. Light to medium bodied but its suits the style. This suprised me how much I liked it, this would make a great session Ale!

Can. Small ivory fizzy head with sparse lacing, transparent, carbonated, and an orange hue. Nose was malty, caramel, hoppy and some spice notes. Taste was caramel, mildly hoppy, spicy and some light fruit taste. Slightly tingly mouthfeel. Light-medium body. Fairly well balanced.

Thanks to hopdog. Pours a slightly hazy golden amber with an average off white fluffy head that left some lacing and sustained. Aroma of pine, lemon, orange and some roasted malts with tons of caramel malts. Flavor of pine, orange, floral hops, some caramel and a bit dry at the end. This was solid, picked up a case of it for a softball game.

Canned version. Pours a copper color with a small tan head. Nose is pure hop bliss. Rich citrusy and piney hops and lighter malt notes amke up the aroma. The taste is also laden with hops. Very hoppy body with some piney notes and a background malt body. The finish is somewhat sweetened but also doused with hops. This was pretty good and surprisingly good for a canned beer.

On tap at the Summit Wayside Tavern in Atlanta, Ga. Dark orange pour, sticky white frothy head with excellent lacing. Light, but fresh sprucey aroma. Flavor has a clean grapefruity essence to it with some underlying honeydew melon. Very fresh and tasty - surprised. Mouthfeel is thick and creamy. Excellent APA.

12 oz can. Poured a clear orange color. Head was creamy and white. There was some lace left on the glass at the end. Aroma was of buttery caramel, fresh cereal grain, and a hint of vanilla. Slightly sweet on the tongue with only mild hop bitterness. Distinct caramel and pleasant flowery hop flavors. Smooth and medium bodied. Solid beer.
