Commercial Description:
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume. Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can? Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can't, where flavorless canned beers don't belong. And no matter where you drink Dale's Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

12-oz can, courtesy BitBucket. Great orange amber body with a dirty white head, streams of carb. Nice refreshing--but still substantial--body. Great citrusy hops on the nose and the finish, with some sweet crystal malt backbone. Beautifully made beer, whether you’re intrigued by the relative novelty of the can or not. Some day I’ll think of a reason to try one straight from the can.

Chewy malt nose with a hint of sweetness. Clean, roasted and toasted malt flavors; nice and healthy malt backbone complements the rich bitterness of the hops. Thick and weighty on the tongue, yet very easy to drink. Some citrusy/grapefruit flavors. Quite the bold and beautiful APA. Rerate, can version: flavor or aroma does not seem to be lost in the can. Sweet and fruity maltiness still tasty.

On tap ESPN Zone Denver. Silky caramel malt, sweet, lots of tropical fruit with a medium bitter finish. slightly more malty, more fruity, and a little less bitter than the 5-Barrel I tried in the same sitting.

12oz can pours crystal clear copper with fluffy off white head. Very nice aroma for a pale. Plenty of strength with loads of citrus hops with grapefruit mixed with sweeter orange juice and orange rind. At a lesser extent there’s a solid malt aroma backing up the hops. I smell both sweet caramelized malts and pale to grainy malts. Yum. The flavor starts with a mix of grapefruit hop bitterness and a vague malt sweetness. Toward midway in the taste profile a pale, grain and biscuit malt mixture grows and adds superb balance to the hop flavors. It doesn’t take long before the load of grapefruit hop bitterness re-asserts itself and temporarily squashes the malts into submission. There is a moment here and there when a sweeter citrus orange hop flavor can be detected. Into the finish I get a lingering grapefruit hop bitterness and a faint maltiness. Another full flavored well balanced brew from Oskar.

The aroma on this beer is amazing. Strong citrus and pine. Flavor is more of the same. This is an awesome beer. Amost too hoppy for me to consider it an APA, but I cant complain.

All this flavor from a can, who knew!?! Decent, these guys can turnaround some pretty decent pale ales. Great mouthfeel, great flavors, nice musky hoppiness from the cascade. Impressive.

Copper color with thick foamy head, lacing, and lots of bubbles. Fruity and earthy hop aromas. Nice, dry, robust malt, quaffable, and balanced. Good stuff.
