Commercial Description:
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume. Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can? Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can't, where flavorless canned beers don't belong. And no matter where you drink Dale's Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

12oz can, unsure how fresh this is. pours a pale color with huge head. clearly over carbonated. aroma is good mainly PNW hops. not a hop bomb but is pleasent. mouthfeel is kinda watery and fizzy. not too bitter. hops seem balanced. a refreshing beer but nothing special.

Pour is nice copper amber with a big nice off white head...smell is pine and soap with some hints of grapefruit citrus...I hope it tastes as hoppy as it smells...taste is lightly hoppy up front with some nice balance from sweet malty flavors...hops build into a medium bitter finish...good...

Thanks to my friend Jay for sending me this one. A microbrew in a can? That’s what this is. It pours a dark yellow w/ a thin white head. The flavor has some malty notes along with some citric hoppiness. I couldn’t detect much aroma. For something out of a can, it wasn’t too bad, but not great

POured an orange amber, small to medium white, lightly creamy head. Aroma was great; caramel malt, pine and citrus. Palate really nice too; a bit creamy. For the style, quite easy drinking. Hops up front, not overpowering; followed by malt and a crisp/dry finish. Another good one from them

Dale’s Pale Ale has a large, dense, and foamy off-white head that leaves lots of lacing. It has a sweet grapefruit aroma and a bright golden orange/honey color. Lots of caramel and maltiness to the flavor with a moderate hop bitterness. It is a bit sweet on back side, but well balanced overall. The fine carbonation creates a smooth and extremely easy to drink beer that is also crisp, clean, refreshing. Another great canned beer that deserves both respect and it’s high rating. I would love to have this available on a regular basis so that I could take it hiking, camping, backpacking, canoeing, picnicing, and more! 12 oz can from Ross. Thanks man!

Bright, clear orange, OK head. Biscuit and earth aroma. Flavor is spicy hops, more earth, with a balancing malt backbone. A well made beer. No metallic note evident to me.

12 ounce can purchased at the Davis Food Co-Op. Aroma has a bit of piney C-hops present along with some crystal maltiness. Lightly metallic. Smells like holiday lights, if that makes any sense to anyone. A nice aroma. Transparent copper body with a medium off-white/yellow head. Decent lacing present. Starts herbal and a bit spicy before it it becomes a little husky with some of the crystal malts. This quickly becomes more hoppy to finish with more of the grapefruity, piney, PNW C-hop flavors. I’d say this is pretty flavorful, rather drinkable, although rather straight forward. A nice canned beer that would be good for camping.

08.22.05 12oz can. Copper-amber pour with sticky and lasting white head; plenty of wispy lace. Delicious resinous and grapefruit aromas, orange blossom. This brew reminds me quite a bit of SNPA, but with a chewier malt base and more fragrant and sweet hops. So it’s nothing like SNPA at all, really. Strong bitterness at finish, but lingering sweetness keeps it from getting out of hand. Yummy c-hop soup.
