Strong spicy, floral, and piney hop nose with a sweet and crusty malt underbelly. Hoppy flavor plus spicy nutmeg and pepper with some biscuit malt character. Very worthy canned offering that goes down nicely in succession. BDR (2167), Roseville, Minnesota, USA

I’m more disappointed with this beer now that I see the style. I thought it was a decent pale ale. Lots sweet carmel malts and candy sugar with a faint bitter finish. I didn’t get much hops at all... Bread, caramel, grapefruit, toffee and minor honey notes. The can is just awesome by the way. EithCubes (2152), Indiana, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 9, 2007 Can from jake65 - thanks! Pine and resin aroma - very hoppy and lightly floral. Lychee and citrus. Clear, vibrant orange body and a creamy, lacing, rocky (beautiful!) beige head. No carbonation visible. Dry, bitter taste, nicely balanced by sweetness. Thinnish body comes off as feeling medium-full. Loads of bready hops leading to a dry, hoppy aftertaste. This is an ideal everyday IPA - balanced and very drinkable, not to mention flavorful. Very happy with this one! blutt59 (2147), Dallas, Texas, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 20, 2005 Clearish amber body, medium clumping creamy light cream head. Nice citrusy hops aroma with grapefruit, orange peel, and a touch of lemon, also with a touch of pine. Reminds me of Bells Two-Hearted Ale. Surprisingly strong hoppy flavor with tons of citrus rind and pine, quite resiny, with a long, bitter finish. Clean, biscuity malts provide enough of a backdrop to prevent the hops from overwhelming the palate. This really pushes the limit of the APA category; it’s really more of an IPA. I’ve had two Oskar Blues beers now and both have been excellent. Thanks Larry (goldtwins) for the can! zach8270 (2127), Henrietta, New York, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 4, 2006 (can - 12 oz) Copperish color with a thick tan head. Aroma is loaded with citrus and hops. I was surprised how much hop aroma could come from a canned beer. Flavor is very hoppy at the beginning with some citrus flavors (grapefruit and date) in the middle and a bitter and crisp hop finish. Very nice and very smooth. bager (2121), Copenhagen N, Denmark
