The aroma was full of citrus hops and some nice floral aromas as well.
Flavors were modest. Tastes of sweet malts and very hoppy with flavors of grapefruits possible of other citrus fruits from the hops. Very dry and well hopped. Very bitter and not sweet like some.

Pour was absolutely beautiful. Hazy orange with a huge frothy 2 finger white head that lasted most of the drink. Taste was very hoppy for an APA which I liked. There was a great caramel malt backbone to this beer that balanced it out perfectly. Great beer. lithy (1850), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 30, 2008 Nice dark honey color with a puffy white head that recedes slowly and leaves nice lacing. Pure hop nose, grainy, earthy, weedy floral aroma. More of the same in the taste. I wish the malt backbone of this didn’t seem so watery up front, but the finish is nice and bitter. Very good. oldrtybastrd (1846), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA

Aroma is big piney hops with some floral and fruit. Flavor of a classic pale, mildly sweet malt action followed by great hop flavor bite, smooth throughout and a great finish. Pours clear amber with a creamy off-white head that lasts well. Nice rich caramel malts along with plentiful citrus and floral hops in the aroma - very pleasant. Sweet flavor right up front, lots of earthy and citrus hops in the toffee, malty finish. Medium body, good carbonation. A very nice APA and best beer in a can I’ve ever had! Thanks Bert. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 14, 2007 Thin fizzy head. Great hoppy aroma. Absolutely succulent. Loads of spruce and pine with a hint of citrus. Some caramel malts in the background also. Lots of minute floating particles in there. Color is a bright copper orange. Little flat in the mouth. This can has been sitting around for a while. Sweet and malty with more bitter hops. More spruce. Pretty good balance. Finish is bitter and a little dry with a lingering hops presence which makes the mouth salivate long after the swallow. One of the best canned beers out there. thornecb (1816), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA

Bright white micro-bubble head leaves significant lacing as it slowly recedes. Pine, grass and citrus notes. Upfront sweet caramel, creamy bodied, with a lasting slight grapefruit alcohol finish. Very well balanced, but leans a little too sweet. Tastes great straight from the can. Lumpy (1802), Carrollton, Texas, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 15, 2008 Can. Body-dark honey brown with a lasting foamy off white head with good lacing. Nose-flat pale ale, crisp PNW hops. Taste-very clean, just the right amount of hops, biscuit malts, light unacidic citrus, grape, light grass, medium CO2, very light white spices, light bread, low alcohol, light earth/soil, light astringency on the finish. All in all, one helluva beer.
