Commercial Description:
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume. Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can? Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can't, where flavorless canned beers don't belong. And no matter where you drink Dale's Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

Thought this was an ok beer, but the novelty of good beer in a can wore off pretty quickly. Poured an amber color with a whitish head. Aroma of citrus and sweet malt. Flavor of malt and yeast with a good hop balance. Good beer.

355 ml can. Dark golden apricot colour. Hazy, and seems to be holding a lot of hops. Tall light beige head that clings to the glass. Slightly metallic rich hop aroma. Strong nutty aroma with a strong hop backing. Crisp carbonation and a rounded, but strong hop bitterness that lasts all the way through.

12 oz. can - pours clear copper with big creamy head; slight suspended haze and quite a bit of lacing;aromas are of malts, sweet candy and a little hops; flavor a little on the light side, but body becomes creamy as it warms

Can from City Beer Store in SF. A nicely done pale ale, maybe the best you’ll get out of a can. Clear amber color with a small off-white head. Aroma of C-hops as well as some malty sweetness. Flavor is sweet caramel malt and citrusy C-hops with a floral finish. I would like a little more sweetness to balance the hop bitterness, but it’s well-done overall. Nice on the palate, fairly full-bodied for the style.

[Bottle bought in Vinens Verden.] This was just a very great sample ...and then a can!?=(")¤%/"¤. Never thought I should give a can the note of 4.2. Like a IPA or IIPA with remarkable notes of Cascade/Centennial such as flowers, fruits, spring, citrus, not so much grapefruit, nice bitterness and a very nice finish, great for broadsiding experiments! Like a summer IPA!

Can from beerlando. Aroma of sweeter cereal malt and grassy, citrus and slightly musty hops. Pours full copper with a big white head leaving excellent lacing. Nice APA flavor. Restrained hops and some decent sweeter malt. Medium to full bodied and quite creamy on the palate. Finishes quite crisp and dry. A very sessionable APA.

Clean hop and malt aromawith some grassy and citrus notes, amber orange colornotice the hops right away tangy and citrusy ,carmely malt as good backing, good bitter finish, nothing to indicate it came from a can, really mindboggling. i think Mr Koch from Sam Adams will have to reconsider his anti can campaign

Pours a clear shade of burnt orange. Retains a very thin layer of foam. Aromas of almond, sugared grapefruit, wet leaves. Flavor is crisp and clear. Fresh grapefruit juice and a hint of garlic rubbed artichoke. Quenching. Palate is lively while somewhat earthy, leaving just the right sediment of bitterness to soak the mouth. No deviances at all. One of the best straightforward renditions.
