Commercial Description:
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume. Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can? Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can't, where flavorless canned beers don't belong. And no matter where you drink Dale's Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

Best beer I’ve had from a can, hands down. Very tasty. I’m not even going to pour it into a glass. Very hoppy aroma and taste. Slightly bitter finish. Awesome beer.

Bottle from CaptainCougar. Light piney hop aroma. Faint copper color with a big head. Medium to full palate for the style. Spicey hops up front with light malts throughout. More pine hops in the finish. Solid.

V - amber color, refreshing for what’s termed a pale ale.
A - somewhat hoppy aroma with some hefe type elements
T - hoppy with some more malts in the taste
P - much more like an IPA.

pours thick amber, fluffy tan head. subtle aroma, probably too subtle, with only a hoppy hint. the flavor is not complex enough, and is slightly bitter. a watery mouth feel. weakly disappointing. but cornfield, rayboy01, jackson220, elgaucho, frankenkitty, brideoffrankenkitty and a couple others know why i think the name is just plain cool.

(Can from <A HREF=http://www.ratebeer.com/Place/massachusetts/w target=blank>Julio’s Liquors) Malty with a piney bite - do these guys make anything that’s bad?...Pours cloudy orange/amber with a large light amber/biege head that ultimately becomes a soft lumpy cap of about 1/2". Aroma of sweet malt - egg cream, vanilla and a little toffee. Mouthfeel smooth and fairly meaty, esp. for a pale ale. Flavor of sweet malt - primarily egg cream and vanilla overlain with a distinct hoppy bite with a flavor of pine and maybe a touch of grapefruit rind. Hoppy pine bitterness in finish. Quite satisfying.

Delicious. Pour was orangey brown, fantastic head and lacing. Aroma of faint grapefruits and caramel. The flavor was citrus, grapefruit and oranges, with hints of caramel. Silky smooth mouthfeel. Well balanced brew. This reminds me a lot of Bells Two Hearted, and that’s a good thing!

Thanks to FlacoAlto for this beer.

Poured an effervescent amber with a semi-frothy white head. Clean citrusy and piney hop aroma. Taste is piney hops, a hint of butterscotch and a smidgen of toffee. Clean and crisp APA; delicious.
