Commercial Description:
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume. Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can? Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can't, where flavorless canned beers don't belong. And no matter where you drink Dale's Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

V - amber color, refreshing for what’s termed a pale ale.
A - somewhat hoppy aroma with some hefe type elements
T - hoppy with some more malts in the taste
P - much more like an IPA.

New to Central FL… and some how I had not previously rated it, so I bought a case.

The can was filled to the very top… almost No headroom if any. Dales pours a rich copper colored body and a bountiful creamy ivory hued head. The first thing I notice is the mild effervescence… which I LOVE! The lesser the carbonation the better! The aroma is piney and citric, sweet with caramel and reminiscent of honey wheat toast. The palate is slightly chewy but soft, finishing dry and well hopped… This is definitely a new daily drinker for me!

another fine beer form oskar! and your right...OUT OF A CAN! this is a nice hoppy cascade example of a pale ale. pours clear orange brown with a tan head nose of citrus and flowery hops. once again i was completely surprised to see the abv so high. tastes around 4-5. not that’s its thin but it has no warmth at all, not that it should at these numbers but you dont get the presence of alcohol in the least. a good everyday pale ale, that you could pack in your backpack and go for a hike with out the heavyness of a bottle. good shit!

This was recommended to me by Chris at Peabody’s in Boone, NC - thanks Chris! Once I got past the can and its connotations, and maintained my objectivity, I found this to be a really excellent beer. Clear amber under a big frothy and lasting head with outstanding lacing, this beer is very inviting to look at indeed. Aroma of light caramel and citrus hops suggests what is to come. Perfect mouthfeel and body without excessive carbonation. There is an initial sweetness of caramel and light brown sugar, but this is quickly followed by a substantial hop presence of pine, grapefruit, and bitter orange. Finishes clean, bitter, and astringent. Tasted blind, I’d call it an IPA. Whatever it is, it’s excellent.

A big thanks to theisti for this can. If I could get this in Kansas City, it would be a staple in my fridge. It pours a flat, light brown with a large, frothy, off-white head that diminishes with time. The aroma is all hops, citric and lightly floral. The mouthfeel is light and creamy with a bitter finish. The flavor is dominated by the hops without smacking you in the head. The front is a serious hop hit with a sweet malty middle following. A dry citric-hop kick finishes things off. A very flavorful and drinkable beer. If only all canned beer could taste like this...

"It’s the only beer we got that comes in a can". These were the words of the bartender as he plopped this offering down in front of me. After my initial shock I grabbed a glass, and poured it... and sure enough I was rewarded with a pleasant tasting pale ale, albeit with a tinge of a metallic flavor.

Amber pour with nice off-brown head. Nice big nose of hops and pine. Flavor is very hoppy with a medium roasted malt body. Finish is clean.
