Commercial Description:
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume. Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can? Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can't, where flavorless canned beers don't belong. And no matter where you drink Dale's Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

Can. It poured a bit unclear, with a nice, golden-orange color and a medium, lasting, dense off-white head. Quite lively carbonation. The pour released these lovely, piney, resiny and citrusy aromas, and having a more thorough sniff, the maltyness also finds it’s way up your nose. The flavor is quite dominated by all the hops, with its citrus and pines, but as in aroma, a nice maltyness is also present. Quite sweet, with some beef-stock as well. The beer has a firm body, and that bitter astringency feeling that the hops give. The finish is long and bitter, and quite heavy on the resiny flavors. And the lacings are nice too.

I have no doubt this is the best canned beer I’ve ever tasted, it’s really enjoyable, and it’s definately a beer I could down a few of. Nice work Oskar! (071012)

Canned. Orange/amber coloured. Unclear. Off white head. Herbs, pine, citrus and light fruits in the nose. Flavour has this citric, hebal pine thing as well. Very nice balance and quite nice hopscharacter. Medim bodied. Has a medium bitter end again nicely balanced by some sweetness. Good one, that would easily get in my fridge as a "hverdagsøl", was it available in the Kingdom of Denmark.

Poured from A CAN, this pup’s only an inch or two away from being an IPA. It pours a deep copper body with a nasty lacing white head that hangs around for the duration. The aroma is fresh hot caramel with sturdy grapefruit, pine, and lemon zest scents. Medium bodied, it’s a good balance between malts and hops, tilting just a squidgeon towards the latter. The finish is a mild yet satisfying prolonged PNW bitterness. Nice indeed.

Dull dark amber color with a moderate beige head. MIld earthy malt with a dry pine and citrus nose. Dry malt and grain flavors mingle with mild grapefruit and a touch of pine. Has a mild earth and hint of metal finish. Closer in my book to an IPA with an american hopping schedule than an APA, but still a decent brew in a can.

Can@Home. Lovely strong floral aroma with a hint of grapefruit. Dark yellow, almost amber color, beige head, good lace. Sweet, fruity and floral at first but soon rather bitter and grassy. Full, soft mouthfeel. Long lasting finish. Nice balance, not too powerful or overwhelming. Thanks Yngwie!

Can: Copper color with creamy thick head, no lacing. Nose of fresh cornmeal and floral hops. The flavor is balanced, nice bitter notes with a full rich body, not too sweet. The tail is brief but pleasent. Earthy mouthfeel with a spice of hops in the end, very nice.

Can from Broudy’s Liquor. Poured dark amber color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Solid smooth resin hoppy aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Medium balanced bittersweet flavor with a medium smooth bitter finish of moderate duration. Standout drinkable brew in a can.

Can. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a longlasting off-white head. Malty hoppy bitter grapefruit aroma. Sweet malty hoppy bitter flavor with some hints of grapefruit. Sweetish malty finish with s long bitter aftertaste.
