Ahh, Dale’s... the session ale of choice for hopheads in my little city. Pouring from the can into a glass, I marvel at this brew’s frothy head, beneath which a golden amber liquid sits and waits excitedly for its journey into my mouth. But first the aroma... A fresh burst of juicy hoppiness greets the nose, mingling sweet herbal notes with mild citrus qualities. The first sip introduces Dale’s delicious malt flavor, remeniscent of a good chocolate chip cookie. A vague metallic taste lingers, although the bold flavors try hard to hide it. As noted by previous reviewers, this pale ale achieves a nearly perfect balance of malts and hops. Each component helps the other one to show off its best characteristics. I think they have great Rocky Mountain water in Lyons as well. I visited the Oskar Blues establishment and had some Dale’s from their tap -- amazingly it tasted just like their canned product. (The same cannot be said for most bottled beers, which always have better flavor at the brewery.) Go cans!

(Thanks to Jah Noth) poured a hazy orange color with a nice off white head. It had a nice bold citrus hop aroma with some nice sweet caramel malts. The taste was bitter as if it was an IPA with a huge citrus hop flavor and a slightly sweet finish. Overall I would love to have more of this and think it is a great example of a strong pale ale.

Enjoyed Dale’s from a can I brought back from a trip to CO. First had this at Roo ’06. Sharing with Grant on my "new" deck. Poured dark gold...almost amber. Lots of carbonation and fiz. The head was strong, white and foamy. It gave some decent lacing to the glass. This is a crisp IPA with hints of mellow fruit at the start; like a peach tastes in the morning. At the tail end is a powerful citrus punch delivered by the intense hops they pack in. This beer is very refreshing on a hot day. I’m thinking I would like to find a way to get some to MO sometime soon.

12 oz can. Pours hazy amber color with full foam of white head. Hoppy aroma. Taste of malt and hops with a lite bitter after taste. It is hard to believe it is from a can. Very good American Pale Ale.

Ok, I have avoided beers in a can. After all, beer is supposed to taste better in a bottle than in a can, rght? Well not in this case. This is a very good pale ale, Citrusy, hoppy aromas float from the glass. Flavors of grapefruit and a nice malty overtone. Great beer in a can. Extremely quaffable.

This is really quite impressive, I’ve never poured anything out of a can that looked so nice. Pours a copper/amber with a tall off-white head that leaves thick lacing. Tons of citrus hops create an aromatic halo around this brew. Taste starts with just a flinch of sweetness up front being chased by a big ol citrus hop finish thats rather bitter and nice. A great APA (really hoppy enough to be an IPA), now maybe you guys can make the big 24oz cans of this!

Beer from a can? Begging for this on tap where I work (it’s not gonna happen). Anyway, I could care less how this pours since it is from a can. Crisp smell followed by a great hoppy flavor followed by a somewhat creamy and citrusy finish. A lasting and slightly bitter finish make this a remarkable pale ale when you consider it’s an American brew from a can. Puts it’s Old Chub sibbling to shame if you ask me. Thank you, Oksar. Would you take my sister out (if she existed)?

Hoppy and delish! A superior American style pale ale. Sampled at the St. Pete Florida Craft Beer Fest. Very hoppy and crisp but not too strong. Oskar Blues continues to brew great beers!
