Commercial Description:
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume. Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can? Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can't, where flavorless canned beers don't belong. And no matter where you drink Dale's Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

I have no idea what this beer will ever look like. I refuse to pour canned beer into a glass. But all I can say is that I found my ONE and ONLY TRUE LOVE!!!! An awesome beer in a can!!! I love canned beer. Now I can take GOOD beer out on the boat! As for the beer. It has a nice aroma. Lots of flora hops. Pine and citrus jump right out at you on the tongue. Nice bitter finish. It’s more hoppy than I expected. It’s more like an IPA than an APA. A great beer. A great beer in a can. There is a god.

2009 Can. A delightfully surprising pale ale, get ready to get punched in the face with some hops! A creamy mouthfeel with a somewhat acidic finish, this pale ale is hoppy through and through. Aroma, flavor, aftertaste, etc. Wonderful for a hot day, this pale ale is great with a meal, a cigar, or anything you’re doing. Well done.

Rating #400 - striaght from the can...like Dale intended.
One advantage to the can is that you can fit your nostrils right down in the can (just don’t flinch!) Aroma is sweet and inviting. The appearance is all about the can...can’t make myself pour this in a snobby glass. The flavor is clean, crisp, orange, with some floral even in the palate. Slightly bitter from beginning to end. If we could make this the baseline for american beer, the world would be a better place.

Wow. About as hoppy as a beer ever should be. Lots of hop bitters (caused by the isomerization of alpha acids in the hops), with plenty of hop flavor and aroma. Distinct hoppiness (as advertised), nice not so pale amber color, and pours with a huge but not particularly dense white head that lasts a damn long time for a carbonated beer. Cascades are obvious, the rest of the hops are difficult to discern until you read the commercial description. Sierra Nevada: watch out. There’s a new American Pale Ale in town, and it’s not taking any crap.

Can - pretty can. Pours a deep gold color with a white head. Aroma is all NW hops with a hint of malt. Taste is hoppy and finishes quite bitter. Just enough malt to let me know its there. A very good American IPA - despite the fact it says "Pale Ale" on the can.

Can courtesy of Matt7215, thanks man! Deep orange/amber pour with a two finger froth of eggshell foam. Good structured lace leaves line after line of rings. This pale shows fresh pine and citric hops in the nose, with bread crust and caramel, followed by cotton candy. The taste is great. It is quite hop forward, with sharp piney hops, with citrus rind, that leads into an earthy caramel malt., and finishes with a candy like sweetness that is only balanced with the northern brewer. This beer suffers from extreme balance, and is damn fine! Excellent craftsmanship. Thanks for the can and the opportunity to try this Matt!

a light golden orange colo rw/ a full thick small bubled white head and soem great lacing. Aroma is mostly hop a spicy note and a good floral hop aroma. Palate is full well coated and lightly creamy. Flavor is a very nice APA, good amount of nice hop some floral and definate citrus notes w/ a full malty backbone. Very good.. I can’t believe this came in a can.
