Commercial Description:
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume. Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can? Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can't, where flavorless canned beers don't belong. And no matter where you drink Dale's Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

Great Effort! I read about this in the NYb Times and they said it would be a great beer to drink at anytime......boy were they correct. Love it even if it only comes in a can!

12 oz cAn via Mys Swap 4 (thanks alexsdad!).Pours a hazy orange with a huge beige head. Nose is grapefruit/orange and is making me sneeze! Wow, this is one hoppy pale ale. Tastes like an IPA with LOTs of flavoring hops to me. I am sure i taste some yummy centennial and perhaps columbus hops. Crystal malts, a little honey, orange, grapefruit, pine and some wondrous spicy hoppy goodness. Body is medium, carbonation is spot on. Perhaps one of the best pale ales i have ever tasted...and reading the description, i see i got 2 of the 4 hops right....guess i really do love centennial and columbus lol..

Finally, an american microbrew that deserves the hipe that it gets. I’m normally a european beer guy (they are clearly much better) but this beer is outstanding.

This is the finest pale ale that I have had the opportunity to consume. I often describe it as a brew for an I.P.A. drinker who would like something a bit lighter. I feel that most pale ale drinkers would find it to be overly hoppy. As many others have said, this beer is proof that a can can hold and incredible full bodied ballsy beer.

A: pours a gorgeous orange/copper color and forms a very nice cream-colored, 2-finger head that instantly begins lacing quite nicely. This is a beautiful looking beer. S: gives off a very nice balanced aroma of both juicy hops and sweet malted bread. I want to take a bite! T: ahhh, glorious. Not as hoppy as Sierra’s Pale Ale, not as malted as a strong ale, this beer is perfectly balanced IMO. I think "juicy" is the best word to describe it’s flavor, I keep smacking my lips to savor every drop of its bready goodness. Did I mention it’s perfectly balanced? M: creamy and chewy, I love how this beer feels in the mouth, with just the right amount of carbonation ta boot. D: this is my new go-to beer, it’s a splendid combination of low-enough ABV to be able to session with it, it’s a great value (I pay about $14-15 per 12 pack of cans here in NJ), and it’s delicious. Perfect all-day drinker. P.S. it’s worth noting that this is NOTHING like any other canned beer you may be used to, you’d never know it came from a can. Highly recommended.

CRUNCH! This beer oozes hop aroma, hop flavor, hop feel, and hop finish. Big billowy head, orangish color. Lots of floral aroma, TONS of hop flavors. Strong. This is what I like my APA, IPA, or IIPA to be like!
