Commercial Description:
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume. Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can? Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can't, where flavorless canned beers don't belong. And no matter where you drink Dale's Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

I love all the beers from this brewery, but this is my favorite. It has a nice bit of hop on the nose and a very balanced taste. It is a hoppy beer, but not so much that I cringe with every sip. Pours out of the can with a good head and beautiful color. Just writing this review makes we want to open up another one.

Had some on top, I thought the tap was hilarious (beer can). This beer really surprised me, dry and not too bitter from start to finish, goes down very smoothly. Not as hoppy as a lot of other IPAs.

Courtesy Wild Oats. Hazy gold-amber with a substantial tan-head. Nose is pine resin from hops influence. Flavors are surprisingly mellow with soothing floral hops, tea leaf, slight mint, caramel, and oak. Soft carbontation/full body. Finishes clean and crisp. Flavors and aroma are superbly balanced. Very refreshing. Delicious straight out of the can. Although ten bucks for a six-pack, I will be revisiting this beer quite often.

Can. Pours a yellowish amber with a decent off white head. There is some lacing left on the glass. The aroma is lightly hoppy with some citrus flavors coming out. The taste is slightly sweetness but then the bitterness come on strong. There is a bit of apple in the flavor. The body is medium and the finish is dry. This is an excellent beer although this seems a bit more of an IPA than an American Pale ale.

Surly it is the best can beer I have tasted yet! A great cold weather drinker with a full but not too heavy flavor. I tried this for the first time last night and loved it. I’m a big fan of IPAs and other hoppy beers, and this is the bees knees. I’m glad it has gone national, so we can enjoy it here on the East coast!

Dale’s pale pours a nice toasted amber. Aroma is of nice bright hops. Taste is dominated by big citrus hops, and very balanced smooth malt. This beer is a great example of why you shouldn’t judge book by it’s cover. Big beer in a small can, Dig it!!!

Definitely on my top pale ales list. Great aggressive hop bite, amazing drinkability. However, this is definitely a hop heads pale ale. Stays fresh for long in the can.
