Commercial Description:
Brewed with hefty amounts of European malts and four kinds of American hops, it delivers a blast of hop aromas, a rich middle of malt and hops, and a thrilling finish. It weighs in at 6.5 % alcohol by volume. Why squeeze such a big brew into a little can? Because we think fun in the great outdoors calls for great beer. Our cans go where bottled beers can't, where flavorless canned beers don't belong. And no matter where you drink Dale's Pale Ale, our can protect it from light and oxidation far better than bottles do.

Northern Brewer for bittering, Cascade and Columbus for flavor, and a big, post-boil addition of Centennial for aroma.

Pours slightly hazy orange color with off white head. Aromas of pine and grapefruit. Taste slighlt sweet with lots of hops. Very refreshing, I could drink this every day. Lots of flavor without being too heavy. Light to medium body with creamy mouthfeel and average carbonation. This is a great beer to introduce people to craft beers. I’ll be keeping some of these at all tiomes.

Citrus and super hoppy nose. Deep golden, almost honey-like color. Thick long-lasting head. Solid bitterness, balanced by malty sweetness. Was a little heavy, but alcohol cut through. One of, if not the, best American pale ales out there.

Had this one for the first time at a tasting a few months back. I was surprised at how flavorful it was since I am not used to drinking such full-flavored beer from a can. One of my current favorites. Nice hoppy flavor.

Hops, hops and more hops but a nice balanced maltiness in the middle and a smooth finish. It pours a reddish amber color with a small but lasting head. A very aromatic hop aroma and a nice hop-pine-citrus flavor. One of my favorite pale ales.

this is sam adams on steroids. golden color, nice hop smell, appears to be a standard IPA. however, it has a stronger hop flavor to it than most. very drinkable. one of the best beers around.

I first tried it from the can while fishing for salmon on the Kenai River in Alaska. This beer made the trip that much better, way better that drinking Bud Light like everyone else. I had to bring some home to taste out of a glass. What a great pale ale. The color is a beautiful copper with a white head, that leaves a little bit of lace. The floral hop aroma is right in your face and I love it. Some sweet malt, crystal I think, make an appearance. The taste is the same hops to start, malt in the middle, and just a little bitterness to finish. Well balanced and very drinkable.

Superb flavor profile, excellent hop aromas and flavor, nice alcohol level and plenty of malty backbone make for a very well balanced and tasty pale ale. The extra bit of alcohol kick and malt sweetness push this one above the classic standard of Sierra Nevada. Also the Northern Brewer bittering addition adds to the drinkability of this pale ale, it definitely features a smooth bitterness and a light golden caramel sweetness. Crack open a can and pour it into a glass, smash the can on your forehead and enjoy the rest.

It’s . . . it’s from a can, and it doesnt suck. It’s an American beer from a can, and it doesn’t suck. My world no longer makes sense. Pours out a deep copper, absolutely stunning head, very thick and creamy, stays around for a simply amazing amount of time. Nose quite hoppy, some pine resin there and citrius. Flavor rather good, initial hoppy bit followed by some sweet malts, though not as sweet as it could be. Certainly can’t fault it for mouthfeel, extremely full and creamy. Looks and feels beautiful, smells good, tastes good. Quite nice.
