Draft from Capones - Reddish amber pour with a medium head. Aroma is solid bourbon and wood - bits of vanilla and roast too. Flavor is a solid bourbon assault - lots of wood and vanilla, some light hops, and burnt barrel. Nice mouthfeel. I liked it, but couldn’t say it tasted great as its a bit over-exposed to the barrel for my liking, at least for a beer like Gordon. Nice to try!

Poured dark amber with a off white head. Aroma of vanilla and oak. Sweet oak and vanilla to start with some whiskey in the finish.

Draft. Cloudy/muddy ice tea color with frothy off white head. Aroma of wood, vanilla, and light citrus notes. The taste was the same with light caramel and whiskey notes in the finish. Massive lacing left in the glass.

On tap at Capone’s. Cloudy brown with a thin whitish head. Leaves lacy strands. Aroma very subdued; piney hops and barrel smoothed whiskey. Taste more dominated by the whiskey but doesn’t seem bourbony. A little too sharp when combined with the orange hop bitterness. Still pretty good. Some caramel, honey and vanilla come out as it warms. Medium body, mild carb.

On tap. Poured a deeper and cloudy / muddy amberish color with an averaged sized frothy off white head. Aromas of whiskey, woody, pine, vanilla, and some caramel. Tastes of whiskey, wood/oak, vanilla, citrus, sugary, and caramel. I liked this one.

GABF. Hazy golden color with decent head. Nice wood and citrus aromas. Classic Godon flavor just touch with wood and vanilla. Pretty good.
