Draft from Capones - Reddish amber pour with a medium head. Aroma is solid bourbon and wood - bits of vanilla and roast too. Flavor is a solid bourbon assault - lots of wood and vanilla, some light hops, and burnt barrel. Nice mouthfeel. I liked it, but couldn’t say it tasted great as its a bit over-exposed to the barrel for my liking, at least for a beer like Gordon. Nice to try! johnadam2002 (529), Hainesport, New Jersey, USA

Aroma very subdued; piney hops and barrel smoothed whiskey. Taste more dominated by the whiskey but doesn’t seem bourbony. A little too sharp when combined with the orange hop bitterness. Still pretty good. Some caramel, honey and vanilla come out as it warms. Medium body, mild carb. hopdog (5614), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA
