The head is very quick to fade. Big hop nose with notes of pine, citrus (particularly orange), and sweet malt. Medium carbonation with a medium, yet dry mouthfeel. Orange, pine, grass, alcohol, malt sweetness, and a bit of wood on the palate. The orange sweetness comes through first, then a bracing bitterness, followed by a dry finish. Medium finish with some lingering bitterness and a touch of orange. Overall I found it a wee bit understated for an DIPA, but that really made it all the more enjoyable. 6ROW (258), corpus christi, Texas, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jul 4, 2009 Clear copper pour with an off-white head, nice retention and lacing, lively carbonation. It has pine, citrus (mostly grapefruit) with a sweet malt aroma that I can’t quite put a finger on. Whatever it is it balances out the bitterness, and I expect that in the flavor as well. Has hop bitterness up front that slowly fades to a mildly grainy sweetness in the middle and a dry resiny finish. Moderately low carbonation, medium body, just a touch of alcohol warmth in the finish, but not solventy at all. Nicely done on this one, the Amarillo dry-hop does a beer good. Gimme this and Ten Fidy, please. jmm635 (258), Havertown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 2, 2009 Deep copper color with a sticky, lacing head. Great aroma... lots of floral hops and earthy with good malty brown sugar smell. Flavor is about the same, but more malty than hop flavored (I prefer the hops). Very drinkable, maybe a tad too easy to drink with the high ABV. hopslovin (180), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA

Lots of sweet malt followed up with pine aromas on the nose. Well balanced, very sweet with a nice hop bit. More pine and some orange peel in the flavor. A bit thin on the mouthfeel. More sweetness/bitterness in the finish, along with a hint of heat. Cletus (5055), Connecticut, USA
