The flavor is quite sweet, citrus, pine, and orange marmalade. The palate is rich, thick, and coating with hop oils. Overall, this is quite nice. I only wish they made pint sized cans. 41cubs (143), , New Jersey, USA

Wow what full balanced richness from this luscious can! Smell of lactose pineyness, like a creamy hopsicle. Awesome look of hazy deep orange and a rich really flavorful light tan head. Flavor and mouthfeel is what all DIPA should aim to be. Beautifully balanced with both extremes well represented and a full saturated sticky chewiness to the mouthfeel. This is what sierra nevada fans think bigfoot is. Congrats Oskar Blues. branspra (225), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 1, 2009 Can. Pours a rich amber color, hazy, with a medium, very frothy white head. Aromas of strong hops (both citrus and spruce), a bit of roasted malts, and a little orange. Moderate carbonation with a nice slick, oily texture. Taste is actually balanced with a bitter beginning and then a nice malty finish. Wonderful beer! Travlr (765), Washington, Washington DC, USA

Dry hopping is apparent in the aroma, along with juicy fruits, toffee, and malt. Drinks very smooth, fruity, piney, and hoppy, a great balance. LIke a mix between an imperial IPA and a red ale. Very solid, Oskar Blues never lets me down, love those guys. Def. recommended. CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 30, 2009 Crushed with Jakebra. Big nose fulla hops. Piney, bitter, sexy, and also with a big sweet malt backbone comin in. Flavor isn’t as good as the nose. Still an absolute knockout. One of the sexiest brews to come out a can since…that other Oskar Blues I just had out of a can. travita (1927), Frisco, Texas, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 28, 2009 The look is orange to amber in color with a pretty good beige head. The smell is hoppy, caramel, grainy, malty, and bready. The taste is just about the same as the smell. Good beer. trevor211 (518), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 26, 2009 Pours a murky orange out of the can, with a good, dense head. Aroma is nice and sweet, packed with hops, as well as bready malts and cereal grains. This is a very tasty beer. Probably not one I’d put at the top of my list, but I could absolutely see this becoming a ’regular’ for me. Extremely drinkable, despite its ABV and the large amount of hops. There’s also a great earthy yeastiness to counter the sweetness that comes with the style. I wouldn’t blink before I brought a case of this to a gathering.
